All of the staff were efficient welcoming and friendly. The building facilities were very good. Nice room with excellent bathroom. The pre-booked afternoon tea, which we received as an anniversary gift, was excellent and good value for money. We just had a sandwich platter for two in the evening which was also excellent and very good value for money. Breakfast was also very good. However, we did not eat in the restaurant as we had an superb, and large, steak pie meal at the nearest pub, the Bricklayer's Arms in Laxton, on the second night. The grounds were pleasant.
A private hire car all the way from Howden to Laxton to pick us up from the Briclayer's Arms to take us back to the Hall cost £25. However, it was "Pie Night" in the pub the following night and a lady, Shelley, who was a customer in the pub offered to come and collect us from the Hall and to the pub and back again afterwards. Absolute angel. All the locals were friendly people and the pub was a real gem. The home made pie was big and tasty.

Nice welcome and atmosphere, room was great for my stay (single room 7) with a small but handy fridge in the room with fresh milk always supplied. I've stayed quite a few nights now for work and its a perfect place for where I have been working in Goole.

Facilities were excellent. Loved the bed very comfy. Plenty of room for solo person. Shower great and very hot. Above the pub so could hear little noise but quiet after closing time.. room was spotless and power points close to mirror! Would definitely stay here again..p
The Half Moon Inn is situated in Reedness, on the bank of the River Ouse, 10.4 km from Goole. Guests can enjoy a drink or an evening meal at the Inn. Free WiFi and free private parking are available.
Staff great. Food great. Room and room facilities great.
Staff great. Food great. Room and room facilities great. Dining room and lounges great. Bar prices reasonable. Unfortunately it's in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing to do once you have walked round the gardens. It has a heated outdoor pool if the weather is right. Plenty of parking space. Would probably be great venue for weddings and other celebrations, or any group where you can make your own entertainment.
Bar does not have real ale. Bricklayer's Arms is the nearest local pub and does have real ale, great food and a wonderfully friendly clientelle. It's really far too far to walk to, we tried it, and taxis locally are almost impossible to find.

This hotel is perfect for a relaxing get away.
This hotel is perfect for a relaxing get away. We didn't venture far from the hotel. We stayed to enjoy the restaurant (the evening meal was amazing) and a few drinks in the cosy bar area. The staff were all lovely, helpful, friendly and accommodating.
