I liked the historical and Architectural ambiance.
I liked the historical and Architectural ambiance. I liked the friendly staff. Excellent food and good choice at all meals.
If I could change anything it would be a walk in shower in my room and I would have also liked an arm chair. There was space for one.
Transport size there is an infrequent bus to take you in to Diss but in my humble opinion there is a lack of available taxi cabs to take you to the train Station. I did not ask reception as I have taxi numbers in my phone so may have missed out. I am sure they have the same problem finding a taxi though. Those of us living in places with a good transport system find this an issue.
Overall I liked Scope inn very much. I would recommend it to my friends especially those with a Car.

The history of the building and the "quirkiness" are extremely interesting. It is like staying in a piece of history. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and it really does feel more like staying at someone's house as opposed to a hotel.

Debbie works hard with her team.
The hotel, the Rooms, and Food are fantastic
I love the Scole the village, the Post office next door, it's great cannot wait to see how Christmas goes with Covid but I will be back as soon as !
My room was spacious with everything I needed.
Tea and coffee making facilities, large tv, very comfortable bed and large bathroom.
Staff were very friendly especially the housekeeping staff and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The hotel building itself is beautiful, and I understand that the new owners are trying to return the decor to a more traditional look in keeping with its history.
A very old coaching inn with a rich history- good location for our trip.
Reception were very helpful giving us a list of contacts as the local taxi firm we thought we’d book had let us down.
Good size room with a huge 4 poster bed. Warm room.
Info in room regarding hotels history was interesting
We liked the modern style look of the hotel and rooms. The building itself is a really old coaching inn, but the place has been decorated in a sharp modern style.
Breakfasts were well cooked and tasty. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Staff were helpful.
I have stayed here many times, simply because it is an very good hotel at a reasonable price, and it is local to where I often work. It doesn't have a swimming pool, gym or spa but I don't need them, so for me it's great. Staff are friendly and efficient.
I have stayed at this hotel in the past and as I found during my previous stay, my overnight accommodation was very comfortable, this time being located in the coach house. Breakfast was well presented and served by a very pleasant waitress.
The location of the hotel was perfect to what we wanted to do. The hotel was comfortable and excellent staff. New staff have recently taken over and they seemed very friendly and professional. I wish them all the success 🙂
Julie and Mark have done a superb job with the pub/hotel. Room was clean and nicely done out and there were plug sockets next to the bed.
Food was amazing thanks to Julie. Such a lovely, friendly couple. Lorna & Gary
This is should not be called a hotel. It does not have the normal services that you would expect from a hotel, from servicing of the rooms to provide clean towels daily.
Love the building. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the hotel is well situated for my needs. Food was tasty and plentiful.
