I know this one quite well, since formerly employed at the University next door. Decent price in the off-peak period of the year. I believe it is popular for its health and spa facilities and bar/restaurant, but I have never used them and just need a place to sleep and work. The rooms are generally fine, entering the modern age with adequate power points. A bath rather than just a shower is a nice touch.

Although it is a small village there are 3 dog friendly cafes to choose from. I would recommend The Barn which has a garden nursery, gift shop, ice cream parlour and restaurant. There are also plenty of walks nearby and it is not far to the lovely town of Garstang.

The ploughman's platter was delicious and just what we needed after a long journey. The breakfast is excellent. Scorton itself is a lovely little village, and looked extra nice at Christmas. The walk around the churches was peaceful and scenic even after dark and during the daytime the local amenities are on your doorstep. The location is also great as it's so close to the motorway. The apartments were amazing, very comfortable, modern and clean, they catered for all our needs. We came prepared but there was a spar shop opposite the hotel if you needed anything. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was amazing. All my family enjoyed the comfort and facilities.. I would highly recommend this hotel.
