The Brickwall hotel holds a commanding position at the top of a small village main street overlooking a small green. There is one other pub/hotel and a general food store/post office...local drama soc and appears to have an active community.it the Village hall. I guess it's an excellent venue for weddings and parties.

Lovely village, with a great friendly pub with excellent food- we were only down 4 nights visiting a cousin and ate at the Queens Head twice. On this occasion we didn't see the geese on the village green, but ths might have been for safety reasons regarding bird flue.

The Brickwall hotel was dated and not very dog friendly due to being segregated at all meals. They also expect you to pay a set price for evenings there wasn’t a separate for menu so you had to pay up to £30 plus. Best thing about Sedlescombe is the Queens head pub amazing food amazing stuff great place to visit every day we was there we ate at the Queens head rather than the hotel has better choice.

Not a place to make the destination but a good base for visiting the surrounding area. We had a wine tasting visit locally & also visited Winchelsea & Rye. Bodium Castle is nearby. The pub in the village & the local shop were both good.
A very pleasant, well-run hotel, with experienced friendly staff. Our room was a bit smaller than some but was comfortable and adequate, with a super king bed and TWO armchairs, which you don’t get in many hotels. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner, with plenty of choice on the menu which changed daily, and a simple and very reasonable pricing system. One day we unexpectedly asked if we could have some sandwiches for lunch in the bar, and were given a choice a
which included some lovely smoked salmon.
The hotel is in a lovely village. Good walks and very pretty. We had requested a room for my mother with a large shower as she struggles with mobility and she was delighted with the room and felt very safe. We were able to stay very close by with the dog! Bed very comfortable and nice to have comfortable arm chairs. The breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly and we loved staying there. The hotel is also very well placed as lots to do and see nearby.
Nice accommodation, friendly service, ideally located for sightseeing. We had a lovely room but realised at around 11:00 at night it had no curtains. Offered a change, but who wants to move at that time of night. Problem was rectified the next day but disappointed when it came to paying the bill. Nothing taken off and only 6% taken off when queried, but don't let this put you off - great hotel, nice people and great breakfast both mornings
We really enjoyed our stay we had at Seddlescombe Golf Hotel, it was the perfect location when visiting relatives who live in the area. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable.
The inclusive breakfast was freshly cooked for us and delicious. The staff were very friendly and our breakfast server was charming (didn't get her name).
Excellent, friendly and prompt service at reception, bar and restaurant. Varied menus and high standard of cuisine. We enjoyed the comfort and unique setting and environment of this hotel. We found the staff friendly and clearly anxious to provide first class service, which they all provided to the highest standard.
Just about everything. Attractive location, friendly and attentive hosts, large and comfortable rooms. The breakfast options were excellent - our group tried several of them. Really liked the hotel being separate from the Club House where we had breakfast. It made it more of an adventure for the children.
Our room was massive, clean and very comfortable. The bed, a Queen size was superb.
We only had a snack on arrival which I scored 9 out of 10 in the Club bar.
The breakfast offering was excellent, one of the better offering that we have enjoyed in many different hotels.
The hotel was genuinely dog friendly (so many places say dog friendly but I would describe them as dog tolerant). All staff took time to make us and our dog feel welcome and he even enjoyed a sausage for breakfast! We had an evening meal which was very good.
Our rooms were very clean and had nice character expected of a hotel of this era. Staff were very friendly on every encounter...check in, needing some assistence in the breakfast room, and getting advice on local places to visit.
The hotel is full of character dating back to Tudor times. Lovely oak beamed restaurant, great food, friendly staff and a very clean and comfortable room. Would definitely stay at the Brickwall again.
Room was clean, spacious, very quiet
Delicious breakfast, excellent menu choice
Staff were all helpful and friendly
Lots of car parking (though the hotel was not busy)
