The cooked breakfasts were tasty! My bathroom, though small, was very clean.
We travelled on a motor bike so eating locally is important.
We travelled on a motor bike so eating locally is important. We tried two of the three pubs and enjoyed the food at both. We would like to have walked from the property but this wasn’t possible, which was a disappointment.

Enough pubs to supply our needs, and the local beer was excellent. Perfectly situated for us, as we enjoy walking the locality.
A few minutes down the road from Brecon and easy ride i to the city of Swansea.
This is a lovely hotel a few minutes walk from the village of Sennybridge. On Fridays and Saturdays you have the benefit of a restaurant and bar. The rest of the week you need to get your drinks and food in the local village where there a three or four pubs with restaurants.
The hotel and rooms are full of an eclectic collection of ephemera which are fun and quirky. The hosts were great and very helpful. We stayed in winter (October) and it rained all the time, but when the sun is out the outside grounds looked like they would be lovely
We had a lovely stay at Castle Lodge the owners and the accommodation were just what we needed it was a perfect base for us to explore the area for a potential house move to Wales. We visited Brecon and Builth Wells and found everyone we met was very friendly.
The breakfast was excellent and kept us going all day.
We had our evening meal at a local pub in Sennybridge and ended up having a great evening talking to the locals.
Absolutely everything about this place was perfect. From the accommodation to the staff, the food to conmfort. I cant fault anything. The room was lovely. The restaurant was incredible with delicious food. The staff were friendly and so accommodating. It was a homely atmosphere where you can relax and unwind. By far the best place we have stayed at and made our first visit to Wales one to remember!
River Run is like an enchanted place full of wonderful things. We fell in love with the apartment and the garden. Absolutely everything you could possibly need has been provided and a few things more too! We loved our stay and will definitely return. 💖 Perfectly situated to explore the Brecon area. We also went to the Botanical Gardens of Wales and Abergavenny. Can't wait to go back.
Lovely little hotel, nice and cosy. Great location for walking and only a short walk to the nearest village. Bryan and Adrian were lovely and very dog friendly, they made us all feel very welcome. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend 😀
Easy to collect the keys; room was clean and the property was convenient for the Brecon Beacon park, as well as a Texaco to fill up the rental car. Well-equipped kitchen and bathroom.
Great Hotel and would highly recommend it. Stopped for one night and a great evening meal. I didn't need to eat the next day after consuming a brilliant cooked breakfast. Recommended!
Awesome food, cosy hotel, owners were very helpful. Location was fantastic to explore around with a car. Showcaves were just 10 minutes away and is a fantastic day out with kids.
In a great location for our trip to Sennybridge and a lovely welcome on arrival. Everything we needed for our visit was provided and an excellent breakfast in the morning.
