Breakfast was nice and had dairy alternatives. Check in was quick with friendly staff. The room was big with comfy beds. Really good place to stay the night before cruising from Southampton port.

The room was clean, newly renovated. Bed was very comfortable, slept very well.
The air conditioner in the room worked well.

This was an exceptional stay. All of the staff encountered during our stay were wonderful being both friendy and helpful. The breakfasts and bar food were both presented beautifully and wonderffully cooked. A very enjoyable stay.

What a fantastic team of staff. We were quite a difficult group in many ways with my 2 young grandchildren and my elderly mother in our group. But all the staff responded positively to every little request we made and sorted everything. We were also delighted when staff used their initiative and went the extra mile to make us even more comfortable.
The bedrooms were beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable.
Everything was spotlessly clean.

Very friendly staff, swimming pool and facilities very well kept and the kids loved it.
The only down side was the restaurant/bar area had only 2 members of staff and was fairly busy, long waiting for the order and then the food came out at long distance as we were 4 adults and 3 kids we couldn't have dinner all together.
Apart of that I would defently recommend and we will be back.

Breakfast was great value for £10.
Breakfast was great value for £10. A huge plus point was the free Tesla chargers. Bar area and food was perfect for our larger group and added bonus of the pool table. Hotel was only 20 minutes from gun wharf shopping outlet.

Shedfield appears to be a just a main road with an estate and a few houses. Wickham down the road is very pretty - a co op, chip shop, takeaways. But central location for all the popular local attractions - Portsmouth, Southampton, Beaulieu, Chichester. You would need a car to stay here.

The hotel is ok.
The hotel is ok. It is tired looking and could do with an update. The rooms were clean but only serviced on request (still operating on Covid regulations).
The food in the bar / restaurant was average and on occasion we were given fruit that should have been in the bin.
Staff did not engage with guests.
The pool was worth a visit, changing rooms were clean and spacious. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was ‘being cleaned’ for the entire duration of our stay.

THERE IS NOT ANYTHING THAT IS POSITIVE ABOUT THE Meon Valley...
THERE IS NOT ANYTHING THAT IS POSITIVE ABOUT THE Meon Valley Hotel, Golf & Country Club. THE HOTEL IS VERY TIRED AND DIRTY. OUR ROOM WAS MISSING A BATH PLUG, QUILT, THE MATTRESS HAD THE SPRINGS IN PLACES POKING THROUGH AND SO MANY STAINS ON IT AND NOT ONE TOWELL AT ALL. THE THE OPERATIONS MANAGER NAMED EBRA SHOULD CHANGE HIS CAREER AND FIND A JOB THAT IS NOT IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY. HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THE WAY HE CONDUCTS HIMSELF AND TREATS AND TALKS TO GUESTS. HIS EMPLOYERS WOULD BE HORRIFIED AND EMBARRASSED THAT HE WORKS FOR THERE HOTEL.
THERE IS ONE PERSON WHO APOLOGISED FOR OUR EXPERIENCE AT THE HOTEL AND THAT WAS THE RECEPTIONIST CALLED JANE.
DO NOT EVER GO THERE AND IF YOU ARE BOOKED TO GO I SUGGEST YOU CANCEL STRAIGHT AWAY!!!!!

Our Saturday night stay was sadly a disappointing experience...
Our Saturday night stay was sadly a disappointing experience. It started to go downhill from check-in where the greeting was almost non-existent and verged on being rude, plus our express request for direction regarding parking a car and car trailer had been disregarded. Our room was adequate, but poorly equipped, poorly lit, poorly ventilated, featured fairly uncomfortable beds and had a generally jaded appearance. The hotel has the appearance that it was perhaps once luxurious in the 80's when it maybe opened, but has stayed locked in the that era and now looks very tired. Despite marketing itself as a golf resort, we had a strong impression that many of the guests were tradesmen from local construction projects.
The only positive that comes to mind was a well prepared and tasty meal in the restaurant, attended by a very charming and pleasant waitress.
Despite at 9pm on my agreed and confirmed arrival , I was told that there were no rooms available. But a small noisy windowless room was found for me after complaining and finding out from other guests who had booked days after me had been given rooms. I had 2 confirmations from the hotel that booking was ok but on arrival at 9pm I was told an email had been sent to me at 3pm that day. An email I never received.
Room was OK,little dated, would like more milk available for my coffee/tea!!/for 2 nights stay, 2 people not enough! Enjoyed swimming pool facilities, sauna and jacuzzi, even now when you charge extra £5 for it,not fair, should be part of hotel included price! /but can't resist using it. Thank you.
The hotel was very impressive...lovely drive up to a grand entrance. The reception was spacious and Sophia was very helpful and welcoming.
The room was very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed using the pool and it's facilities.
The bar was very trendy and welcoming.
Hotel was clean, leisure facilities clean, room was clean, breakfast was ok with plenty of choice but the cooked items could have been hotter. The restaurant meals have improved as has the menu but a bit expensive.
The staff were very welcoming and the bar area has a lovely atmosphere. Excellent Golf course, nice quiet night sleep in a good bed. You should come here for the Golf not the hotel. Breakfast was fine.
The room was fantastic, large and clean, the location is perfect for me, I live in the United States and the hotel is located between bot my sons homes, and the most important point is value for money.
Larger room than expected and nice tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries. Comfy bed and nice feel to the hotel in general - better than expected after reading some other reviews!
It was a clean, comfortable hotel in a perfect location for my needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a hotel I would use again in the future.
