The Wychwood in is well located on the main road so it is easy to access. The staff are pleasant, the food is very good and the establishment is very clean. There is a garden at the back of the property and there is car parking.

The service at breakfast was slow and we were not offered any cereal or fruit and given cups of coffee instead of having a pot which meant it was not very hot. No toast was offered and it seemed that they just wanted us to leave as soon as possible. Did not like to ask for other items as it was not mentioned on their paper menu so if that is all that is offered it is not good value for money compared with all the other bed and breakfast destinations we stayed at.
The Swan Inn is located in Ascott Under Wychwood in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. This charming property features a restaurant and opens onto a courtyard with a garden.

Excellent. We booked almost all the rooms for a weekend with the girls and the hotel was perfect. Had two great meals (one in the private room which is lovely) and the other in the main bar enjoying pizza. The hotel even catered for our GF needs. Breakfast excellent too.

Our room - the garden room with a glasshouse sort of thing outside was just beautiful. The breakfast as well the next morning was wonderful.

The quality of fitments in the room were excellet. Best shower, for pressure, I have ever had in a hotel. Our only interaction with the staff was when we booked in and had lunch. They were very friendly and helpful and the lunch ( a Thursday and Friday meal deal) was good quality, well priced and met our needs at the time.

This is a beautiful village but The Lamb Inn was the only establishment open on a Monday so check ahead of time if you are hoping to wander to other pubs. It is extremely quiet at night and there are no shops. Chipping Norton has everything you might need and is only a short drive from the village.

Beautiful, clean room and bathroom.
Beautiful, clean room and bathroom. Fantastic food in the restaurant. Garlic bread, fish and chips to die for. Staff are very professional and friendly. The only problem was the sounds that we could hear from the people/children next door to ours, coughing, taking shower, flushing water, squeaky foor boards, their entire conversion early in the morning. It felt like they were in our room which is a shame because we have loved everything else about this lovely place

Shipton has loads of history to absorb.
Shipton has loads of history to absorb. Its miles from anywhere so you can really get away from it all. There are pretty walks and two pubs with good food, One more family/everyday with lower prices and another a bit more sophisticated and costs more .But both good food and welcoming.

The room was spacious, clean and just right for us.
The evening meal was great and value for money.
The breakfast was fantastic with great choices either full English or continental and special mention to Michelle at breakfast time as she was so pleasant, refreshing and certainly did go the extra mile for all of the visitors. She and all staff are a credit to the Lamb Inn.

A stunning property with amazing architecture.
A stunning property with amazing architecture. Lovely comfortable bedroom and very well appointed. Picturesque courtyard with tables and chairs for relaxing in the beautiful surroundings. Our host 'Bill' is a complete pro and a great character. He also cooked me probably the best Eggs Royale for breakfast that I have ever had in my entire life!! Good sized secure car park at the rear of the property. The village is 'chocolate box' beautiful and we enjoyed a stroll after breakfast around the Wychwood Wild Gardens where there were many happy birds and wildlife, enjoying expertly maintained woodlands and ponds. Highly recommend the Shaven Crown and its owner Bill who went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect.

Avery strange welcoming, although the man was very nice and polite, it was not clear where the check-in/reception was, he seemed almost surprised of our arrival.
Unfortunately, our room was dirty, a very strong and offensive smell on my side of the bed which made me feel slightly sick and kept me awake throughout the night along with the noise of the cars going through the village as this was a road facing bedroom.. There was a plastic container under the bathroom radiator due to a water leak. There was also mould growing in the shower and other places!
It's very odd as most of the reviews I have read about the property are very positive which was the main reason we booked this accommodation. It makes me wonder if maybe the cleaner was not available prior to our stay to keep the room up to usual standards?
I unfortunately will not be back, it's such a shame as i loved the character of the property, but could have had a much more enjoyable stay somewhere different in the Cotswolds for half the price!

This is a beautiful place to stay. My room had the most deliciously comfortable bed and the pillows (usually a mark of a quality hotel) were wonderful. The room lacked for nothing and, in idiosyncratic style, the bath was actually in the room rather than in a separate bathroom. Full large bottles of both still and sparkling water. All the staff in the restaurant were charming and assiduous in their attention. The burger was the best I've had for years, the runner beans were delicious and I recommend the tasty local lager.
Wonderful small hotel in a central location in the Cotswolds. Breakfast was included and was wonderful. Had, lunch and dinner at the hotel and meals were all delicious. Staff was excellent - friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms absolutely spotless with lovely decor. An exceptional experience all around and look forward to staying there again sometime.
This was one of the best BNBs that we have every stayed in. Martin was a wonderful host, shared ideas on things to see everyday, and made us a wonder breakfast. Everything was just as respresented in the pictures and in the other reviews. There is no better place to stay for a few nights in the Cotswolds!!
Brilliant hotel - superb breakfast served by the lovely Kate and Martin with any choice offered. Lovely setting - fabulous bedroom with a lovely view. Just fabulous from start to finish plan to book again very soon...Martin a fabulous host and able to share amazing knowledge of the area...
Stunning hotel very tastefully decorated with beautiful antiques, absolutely beautiful.
Martin was the perfect host who couldn't do enough for you friendly and very welcoming.
Delicious cooked breakfast will definitely return and would recommend to friends.
If you are looking for a quirky hotel then the Shaven Crown is the place to stay. The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing and the eggs superb! Just wish we could've had an evening meal there because the breakfasts were sooo good!
As a long haul pilot I have had many breakfasts around the world in so many hotels I have lost count....without a doubt this was the best breakfast I have EVER had! From the taste to the presentation to the view. Absolutely faultless!
This is a lovely flat well placed for the pubs/restaurants in the village, really clean with excellent facilities and within easy reach of everywhere we wanted to go in the Cotswolds.
We will definitely stay here again!
Lovely hotel only reservation was it was noisy during the day up till the time pub closed due to rooms being above bar and restaurant we asked to move room which they obliged it was better but still a little noisy
Very middle of the road, good base for traveling around the Cotswolds
Fresh milk was a nice touch
Breakfast on Tuesday was very good but went down hill by Friday when almost inedible
