Hatters Hotel, hotel in Skegness

We stayed in the Alice in the wonderland room which was thoughtfully decorated with Alice memorabilia. The teacups attached to the ceiling was an impressive touch. Definitely worth a visit :)

The location was really good. The room was on the small size for 2 adults. The steps were a little hard to get up the a suitcase and a walking trolly. Needed help from staff to get in and out every time .

    Old school family holiday destination.

Old school family holiday destination. Fun fair, crazy golf, donkey rides, arcades, parks, aquarium and nature land seal sanctuary. Skegness has everything from chip shops, icecreams, donuts and seaside rock. For the adults there’s shops, bars and nightlife and the embassy theatre for an excellent show.

I loved Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the Aquarium.

I loved Natureland Seal Sanctuary and the Aquarium. I walked for miles along the seafront and enjoyed Slushies and Ice cream from stalls near the clock tower. My favourite meal was a crab salad from the Seafood cafe near the Tower Gardens

    Difficult to get vegan lunch.

Difficult to get vegan lunch. Even in March it as busy and vibrant. Everything was open. Not much choice in shopping but there are supermarkets near to the station. Nice choice of restaurants in the evening. The beach is beautiful. Open top buses available and are good fun.

Skegness has a wonderful long sandy beach.

Skegness has a wonderful long sandy beach. It’s definitely the main attraction. By day there’s the obvious huge number of amusement arcades and a funfair on the seafront. Plenty of small independent shops and cafes but not many restaurants. At night the lack of restaurants is even more acute. Having to use a car to dine out is not what most people want.

Very warm welcome from Murray when we arrived, explained everything to us and we were able to check-in early. He also gave us a map of the local area showing where we were and recommendations of restaurants from previous clients which were both very useful. Very good location within walking distance of beach and town centre. Room was very comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee for us. If we were returning to Skegness we would return to the Kildare.

Nice welcome and everything was explained quickly and clearly. Very clean room with clean minimal decor (which I like) and tea & coffee in the room. Good shower with easy-to-control hot water and the towels were like having a cuddle, very good quality. The bed was nice and comfortable. Easy access with keys after hours and a great location just a 3-4 mins walk from the seafront and town centre. Lovely friendly guesthouse, happy to stay again.

The Homestar was in a great location, approx 5mins walk up the street to the seafront and 5-7mins into the town centre. There is free parking at the back of the hotel, or you can park on the street. The staff were really kind and accommodating. There is a stairlift, bar open at select times, and the range of breakfast food was amazing! We will definitely stay at the Homestar again when we come back to SkegVegas!

The location is excellent - only a 5 minute walk to the main area/pier etc. The room was spacious and extremely clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good - even catered for my vegan diet! Skegness is not somewhere we visit often, but this hotel definitely exceeded our expectations.
