My experience at the hotel was fantastic. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, and the receptionists were incredibly friendly. I loved the views of the canal from the rear of the hotel - it added such a lovely touch to the stay. Parking was convenient, and being close to town made exploring easy. The room was well-equipped with complimentary toiletries, and the hot cooked breakfast options were delicious and satisfying. Overall, it was a delightful stay!

We stayed in one of the inn rooms (these are separate from the pub bit - there are no rooms within the actual pub/inn) which was large and nicely furnished. Wifi was good, but you do have to switch between different wifi networks as you move from the rooms to the pub to the leisure centre.
The walk-in shower in the bedroom was excellent - very powerful, and the room was clean.
The food at the Gamekeeer's Inn restaurant was also excellent, and breakfast was also tasty, but disappointing that hot chocolate is not included in the breakfast menu, and you'd have to pay for that separately if you don't want tea, coffee or juices.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.

The hotel was a gem of a find. When booking we didn't know what to expect but it was excellent, from arrival to leaving. Extremely clean and the host was very friendly, informative, and assisted us with our needs. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed included. Parking at the rear, which was off the main road. The breakfast was amazing and had a great level of choice. If we ever need a place to stay in Skipton, we will definitely check the availability of Dalesgate Lodge first. I would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic traditional Yorkshire Inn in an idyllic setting next to the River Wharfe.
Great beer, great food (especially the award winning pies made by the lovely Sarah) and a pub atmosphere that you will not find anywhere else, created by the ever-entertaining owner and landlord Ed. We shall be back!!!

There is nothing to dislike about Skipton, it is a pretty market town, lots of boutique type shops, lovely wine bars & coffee shops & welcoming pubs.
Everywhere we went we received a warm & friendly welcome. The places we ate were cosy and good value for money (Woolley Sheep) and romantic and special (Le Bistro)
The location of this property was excellent, right on the canal. and 5 min walk into town.
It was all clean and nice as we were the first people to stay here since refurbishment.
Stairs a bit hairy to loft bedroom, but if you dont need the bathroom during the night
you will be ok.
Lots of little extras left by owner, tea, coffee, milk ect. Much appreciated.
Very quiet relaxing property.

One of the best small country hotels we have ever stayed in. Good location, on a main road a few miles outside Skipton, with ample parking. Hotel is a pub that has been recently completely renovated, it has a lovely restaurant that also serves breakfasts, food is excellent. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
We wished to visit the skipton Village on a leisurely trip.
A mini break to recharge. We went on walks on canal, boat trips , we saw the local market and the Gala.
The location was perfect and we received excellent service from the hotel.

Really lovely staff. Great room and food Someone has a good eye for design and finish - on all counts. Many a hotel would be proud of the room we stayed in - Ribble, their dog friendly room by the way.
The house was beautifully decorated. Great location about a 6 minute walk into the centre of Skipton, plenty of off street parking , if no parking spaces left at the hotel.
