We had a lovely time at Gallows Hill. Cress and Barry are amazing hosts, really friendly and accommodating. The place is stunning and in a beautiful, tranquil location. Breakfast was really good.

no breakfast would be too late but my big problem was exiting in morning doors locked (fair enough) but at 8 am had to make alotof noise to eventually get staff to come to exit door this was at 8am ish but it was sme person who managed bar nigh before and was excellent but to be locked in to hotel was a disgrace and caused me problems where i was working being late due to lockin yours very unhappy i thought i had found a perfect hotel for when attending events nearby but what a letdown DuncanBlacklock

This is a must stay place if you want to arrive somewhere that you feel totally relaxed and content within minutes. The accommodation is uber clean, quaint and has everything you need. Loads to see and do out and about. We had no problem filling our weekend with the abundance of local amenities. Owner was brilliant on arrival and couldn't do enough for you. Great weekend had and we will be returning in the winter to utilize the log burner in the hut and and sample the dark skies that will be littered with stars

Quiet rural classic Yorkshire village, the countryman restaurant very nice indeed.
Good for a rural escape and base to enjoy multiple aspects of North Yorkshire if you don't mind a little drive.
