Lovely accommodation, very comfortable for the two of us and well equipped. A quiet location but not remote or far from pubs and shops. Friendly hosts nearby but we were left alone to enjoy our break.

Room was well furnished and clean. They left us cookies and some chocolates which was a nice touch. Water pressure in the bathroom was very good. We had breakfast included in our rate and there was a good selection of food.

Property is excellent with all facilities you need for a long weekend or longer. Appreciated the very sunny courtyard to eat outside. Even has washing line in the sun! Parking immediately outside the front door. Well located to visit all areas of Suffolk on your doorstep. And a superb pub for evening dinner 20 mins walk away. Hosts were very helpful and responsive.

My wife and I mainly stay in snape for walking and there are plenty of footpaths locally that dont involve a drive, especially all or part of the sailors path and across snape warren nature resrve to the Maltings.
From the Maltings there are walks to Iken church and Tunstall forest. A short drive to Aldeburgh and there are several walks such as along the beach to thorpeness and return along the disused railway line.

Snape is a quiet village located not far from Aldeburgh or Thorpeness.
The Maltings are worth a visit. Unfortunately the day we visited it rained heavily.
Used the cafe and found the staff very friendly.
When we return we will stay longer.

Snape is lovely and chilled.
Snape is lovely and chilled. Even in the good weather in peak season it's not too busy. We found it safe, comfortable and liked the way its 10 mins from the coast. The maltings are great and worth visiting even if your not stopping in Snape.

Snape is a pleasant village on the river Alde and on the edge of the marshes that line the estuary. Its natural beauty has been crowned by the establishment of the Snape Maltings by the Composer Benjamin Britten with his partner the Baritone Peter Pears. Today it is the home of visiting musicians of international aclaim. We had enjoyed a concert by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales performing music by Britten, Shostakovich and Rachmaninov.

Visited to attend a friend's art exhibition at Snape Maltings; my first trip to this area and what a wonderful surprise. The Maltings have lots of craft shops, refreshment venues and of course, the amazing concert hall. The river, marsh walks are relaxing, and there is a boat trip too! Wished we had booked for longer to explore more of the area.
