A lovely place to stay. Very comfortable bed and pleasant room. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. We ate dinner in the pub and it was wonderful. I can highly recommend the fish and chips. The breakfast was also great.

Loved everything about our stay. Staff all friendly. We even stayed an extra night. Ate twice downstairs in the bar out on the terrace. Tapas were amazing. Barman a great guy, made us feel very welcome even though he was run off his feet.
Loved everything about our stay. Room and ensuite were huge.

Absolutely loved our stay in Rm 1 at The Wilson Arms, can't wait to re-book. Sitting outside to the rear in the vast beer garden was just wonderful.
Spark Bridge is a lovely, quiet place. It has a river running through the Hamlet and woodland. Perfect for a good night's sleep. We ate at The Royal Oak pub every night we were there because the food was excellent and the staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are a credit to the owners. They are exceptionally dog friendly. We will definitely return. Easy access to all areas of The Lake District. We have stayed many times in The Lakes and consider The Royal Oak to be the best.

It is in a very quiet and secluded location.
It is in a very quiet and secluded location. However the saniflow system in the room is like someone is using an electric drill. And you can hear everyone else's saniflow systems go off in the night.
The room was like a sauna. And the shower had two settings. Lava hot or Ice cold. I kid you not.
It took us forever to check in. At breakfast, no-one was there. When I chased up the lady in the kitchen - rather than just apologise, she chose to pick an argument with me about when she was last down to check the breakfast area.
However, the breakfast was rather tasty.
