Awesome stay and will definitely book here again! Thank you for all your hospitality Lynne, as well as the home- baked blueberry muffins. The breakfast is more than enough and the black pudding the best we have had on our trip. 10 out of 10!

Spean Bridge is a pretty little place with some stunning walks and scenery. The shop has everything you need for your stay and there is also a Post office. There wasn't a huge selection of places to eat or drink and some were closed when we were there but it was probably just the time of year and we ventured into Fort William which has plenty of choice to eat and drink.

Beautiful Small Village tucked away from the Hussle and bustle. Quite and Peaceful area. Mai Bus root to Fort William and surrounding area's.
Locals are so helpful and supportive, specially, i was waiting for a bus to turn up for a while when a beautiful lady turned up and asked me if i was okay as she had noticed me being waiting at bus stop quite a while.

It's a good place to explore the area.
It's a good place to explore the area. Spean Bridge itself is tiny, but has one excellent restaurant at the Old Station. There are some other places but they are only open until 4 or 5, so I did not visit those. For additional options, you'd have to take a 15-minute drive to the next town over (Fort William).
My hotel - Highland Bridge Hotel - has a pub attached that was frequented every night by the locals. So there is a place to hang out if you must.
Overall a good location to explore the Scottish countryside. Considering everywhere you have to go will take you an hour, it isn't so bad you're basically 15 minutes out of town.

We felt safe and secure in our accommodation.
We felt safe and secure in our accommodation. Felt intimidated by locals who got angry with us for not breaking the speed restrictions and we were not alone that felt this! Not much to do in the actual village itself but is a good base to venture out, the b and b we stayed in though was a pleasure to come home to - Braelea, run by Margaret. A fabulous lady with knowledge for days out. We are in restaurants recommended by Margaret.

Rosebank is owned by wonderful lady by the name of Teresa, who reminds you of your favourite aunt whom you rarely see but welcomes you with open arms. She made us feel like we'd been there before, set a lovely table with lots of breakfast options, keeps an immaculate house with very comfortable accommodations and genuinely made us feel like we were home. I would HIGHLY recommend Rosebank to anyone staying near Ft. William or Spean Bridge. I wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be booking with here for our next trip

The main reason we visited Spean Bridge was to climb Ben Nevis. There were plenty of other activities around, I would recommend West Highland Outdoor Centre for a Segway tour. Highland Soap Company is worth a visit, they do great coffee too.
Great location a little bit outside of Spean Bridge - the Station Pub was only a 15 minute walk away.
Large comfortable rooms and lovely shower.
Wonderful Lounge and Open Fire.
Breakfast served in the room which due to Covid Restrictions. Breakfast baskets were full to the brim - no shortage there! Tea and Coffee facilities in the room were Nescafe standard and we were directed to where we could get more. Considering Covid restrictions, I just can't see how they could have done more. Great effort in the circumstances.
The location is perfect along the main street of Spean bridge and close to the memorial. I stayed there two night as there was no accommodation between Spean Bridge and Laggan. After walking to Inverlour, I was able to hitch a ride back to town for my second night. The next morning, one of my hosts went above and beyond when he drove me back to where I left off in Inverlour. I am very grateful for that kindness.
Smiddy House deserves more than 2 AA Stars. Exceptional place to stay. Extremely clean and very thoughtful of any amenity a traveler might need. The food at Russels Restaurant deserves a Michelin Rating and is priced fairly moderately. The hosts are the best by far! Robert makes you feel like an old friend just came for a visit. Smiddy House isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience.
I loved everything and didn't want to leave!
Dani and Cam are the nicest people we met in Scotland. The location is key to go to many places around, the facilities are amazing, the decor feels like home.
The room is beautiful and smells great.
The love and care they have for their guests is really well noticed and i cannot wait to come back already.
Ah! Cam's pancakes are a must try 😋
Teresa was the ultimate host! She makes the best whiskey porridge we tasted in all of Scotland. It was creamy, the perfect balance of flavors, and a great start to the day! The cheerful room decorated with shades of gold and white overlooked the gorgeous front garden and felt luxurious. After a long journey, Teresa's warm welcome and homey touches felt like an oasis for us.
Amazing Stunning house.
Stunning views.. Peaceful.
The Host was amazing, Clare and husband Steve, beautiful dog who was also welcoming.!!
We had packed in alot of travelling around to Mallaig, Morar beach, Arisaig, Fort William, Ben Nevis Range Gondola, Newtonmore and Dalwhinnie Distillery. Pently to do.!!
We were hiking the GGW and arrived cold and soaked through. Our room was clean, warm and cozy, shower was hot. There were 5 of us and they found a room that would accommodate all of us which was great. Dinner at the hotel was really good. We slept great and we’re very happy with the accomodations.
The property is stunning with incredible views of Ben Nevis. The rooms are lovely, very well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is dog friendly and we were placed in a lovely family room with lots of room, huge 6ft bed. One of the best properties we stayed in on our 8 day tour of Scotland.
Everything was excellent. House is located in pristine nature, surrounded by river just couple of meters away .astonishung view on nearby hills, spacius rooms and clean and tidy accomodation. Fort William is also in vicinity- with car just 10 min.
Perfect place to stay. Our favorite stay from our hotel trip. The grounds were stunning, all the staff were so friendly towards us and our two young kids, and our rooms were so comfy and quaint. Wish we would have stayed here much longer.
The owners have tried to think of everything here, well equipped cabin with a lot of mod-cons. Very comfortable, pet friendly & welcoming. Ours was a fleeting visit but this would make a great base for exploring round Fort William.
Location was brilliant really accessible for Ben Nevin and Fort William. The views from the apartment were gorgeous with views of Ben Nevis. Owner Alistair met us when we arrived and was really friendly
Clean and spacious rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent. The view out of the window is fantastic. Conveniently located with 15~20 min drive distance from Fort William.
Good breakfast, apartment room. The host offered transport to the Great Glen Way next morning, as the location is several km from Spean Bridge and the Great Glen Way. We really enjoyed the stay.
Everything was exceptional.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Great hospitality from Dani and Cameron
Would definitely book again in case we stay around Spean Bridge or Fort William.
Thanks
The hotel was very clean. Wifi worked well and breakfast was excellent. The room size and furnishings were pretty much what I expected from a small, rural town.
