Stayed here before and every time it is a delight -This property, convenient for the centre of Stamford oozes character and individuality. Charlotte is a star - no one else multi-tasks, like Charlotte! Rooms are unique & somewhat quirky- but that's what makes it special. Food is superb and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Would we return - absolutely !

It is a stunning town, with great historical architecture, and all the shops have been carefully designed to blend in as much as possible. There is a wonderful array of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and a street market (which I missed), and I wish I could have stayed longer. It is very lovely to walk around, with wonderful views and buildings around every corner. I came specifically for the International Music Festival, which I enjoyed thoroughly. It is also an extremely dog friendly town, with many cafes, bars and restaurants welcoming dogs. I hope to return for a longer visit - soon.FionaUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Stamford is a beautiful Georgian market town with lots of things to do and places to visit nearby. Shopping is very enjoyable as there are plenty of independent shops as well as the usual clothing chains. The Friday open air market was excellent and there were lots of bargains to be had. The choice of restaurants and cafes was very good. We can recommend Amore for its Italian cuisine and Kancchi for Indian/ Nepalese food, but would advise that you book in advance if possible.

I love old character buildings and this certainly is a lovely old character building. The location is good with most amenities in Stamford within a ten to fifteen minute walk. On site parking is a bonus. Would I stay again ? Yes, very much so, whilst there were a couple of little niggles overall I enjoyed the experience.

Stamford is a lovely town in summer or winter has plenty of shops supermarkets restaurants and pubs for eating out it has lots of churches and a theatre with a wide range of shows on it’s so peaceful here with lots of small villages around it to which are so beautiful well worth a visit

Easy to get around hills are gentle and manageable for those with limited walking. The Hong Kong Chinese restaurant is very good, but needs to be booked as tables go quickly. Street market on Fridays and a lots of boutique shops. The St Martins Antique centre offers a extensive range of interesting collectables. Stamford is a beautiful town with georgian stone buildings and the whole town built in the same stone. The town is lively with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants as well as lots of local shops. If booking.com had stated that this was needed i would have brought with me. We decided to eat elsewhere and come back for drinks later in the evening, the hotel bars/snugs and reading rooms are extremely cosy, the hotel is an ideal location to visit the surrounding area and Stamford. Breakfast was excellent and the staff made us feel extremely welcome.
