This hotel was absolutely stunning, so clean, it's in a fantastic location and the staff were all so friendly and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The spa was incredible, so calming and really clean. We had a couples massage which I would highly recommend if you're visiting with your partner. We had such a perfect stay here and we will absolutely be returning soon (we're already planning our next stay).

Our room was at the front of hotel overlooking the gorgeous grounds. The balcony was a bonus as the weather was unusually warm for the UK.The reception staff were excellent, friendly yet professional.Room was clean, well thought out in terms of utilising space & quite sound-proof considering the proximity to the road.

Nice little village about half way between Kendal and Windermere. By car it is only 10 mins to Windermere and 20 mins to Ambleside. Giving you easy access to the Lake District National Park. The village itself has a Fish and Chip Shop and a couple of nice Pubs. While we were there we had a lovely meal at the Eagle and Child Pub which also has a lovely riverside Beer Garden.
