Dinner was good. Amanda on staff was amazing.
She picked us up from our hike, checked us in and was actually working the bar later. She was so pleasant and made us feel welcome.

Beautifully done cottage - very stylish and comfortable. My son's fashion-student girlfriend was very impressed I was staying somewhere so stylish!
Two comfortable double beds with nice bedding.
Such a great location just off the market square.
It was great to have some basics there ready for my arrival - and there was a really quick response if I had a query.
WiFi was great and the kitchen/dining lights were really bright for me to work. Would be a great place to stay for work - but also lots of lovely walks in and near Stokesley if you were here for a break. I was supporting my son on his Coast to Coast walk and was perfect for that too.
Loads of great eating/drinking places in easy walking distance.
Clear recycling facilities - thanks!

Great location, warm, spotlessly clean, within walking distance of a number of pubs and restaurants.
Set in 15 acres of woodland, surrounded by views of the Leven valley and the Yorkshire Moors, this magnificent Edwardian stately home has been recognised as one the top 200 hotels in the country.

We liked everything about it - the setting, the accommodation, the food and the staff.

Nice market town.
Nice market town. The staff at OYO Leven were unsure about parking regulations. The town does have free parking. Best to check with a local shop about parking. Some shops not open, some pubs not open. But can recommend the chapters deli for breakfast and courteous staff. The Green Man pub for a drink.

The village was ideal as a base for exploring the local area. I used a car for convenience but public transport is available to all the local areas. Car parking is free in the high street!
The walk along the river Leven is very pleasant and I enjoyed visiting the varied shops in the high street. I had a very enjoyable meal at the Leven hotel and a pub meal at The Mill both very good food reasonably priced.

Stokesley is a lovely village with a charming high street and very friendly locals. The takeaway options leave a lot to be desired with YThai and China Wok being the best options.
Unfortunately pubs werent open due to C19 however given the friendly locals would imagine a good atmosphere.

It isn't huge but we spent the morning pottering around poking into different shops. There was also a gallery on at the village hall which was good to look around. Don't go on Mondays though, because half the places are closed, but apprently there is a market on Fridays according to the parking signs, but we weren't there then.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant and bar had an excellent choice of food and drink and a great atmosphere. The en suite room was very good. The hotel has a pharmacy and a coop with a cash machine nearby. We were offered transport to the railway station or the nearest part of the Cleveland Way where we could continue the long distance walk.
The flat was right in the middle overlooking the market square. It is very well decorated and comfortable. It was very spacious and had an ourdoor area that could be shared by a couple of flats. It was too wet to use the outdoor area when we were there but had a good amount of space. The flat had everything we needed. Stokesley is a lovely town with a lot of places to choose from for dinner out. Parking was easy but I am not sure if this would be a little hard on Market days. I would visit again
The hotel room was big and spacious. We stayed here while doing the Cleveland way, there is a free pick up from clay bank to the hotel and they also drop you off back at the start of the trail. The staff were really lovely. We had to change the drop off time in the last minute and they were very happy to accommodate for that change too. Breakfast choices were great. We also had dinner there which was very tasty and big portion too. Enjoyed our stay here.
This is a budget hotel currently undergoing improvements but it has several strengths. It's in a great location in a characterful building, with a riverside pub garden to the rear. Our room was very clean, with nice bedlinen and fluffy towels. It was very good value for money - if you pay the price we paid, you can't expect five star fittings and fixtures. The staff were pleasant when we checked in and out.
Lovely house for the weekend - bigger than expected with two receptions and decent sized bedrooms. Really great location just of the high street of Stokesley which punches well above it's weight for cafes, pubs and restaurants. Easy drive to the hills.
The bedroom was very clean and comfortable although the furnishings were a little tired and in need of updating. The breakfast was very good, plenty of options and good service. The hotel is easy to find and in a lovely village location.
Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great location to explore the beautiful area with all the facilities of the pretty market town of Stokesley on your doorstep.
