Nothing ! Booked a superior room , but on checking in we were allocated a standard basement room . Complained to the receptionist and she tried to remedy it , but had only one superior room left , which was a double single bed room . On moving into the reallocated room it smelled of sickness , not helped that we couldn’t open a window which had been screwed into the window frame. Wish we had stayed in the standard room . Used to love this hotel , but won’t be back .

It was a friendly and amazing little gem of a hotel very glad I came across this.
It is a small village. It is an excellent location to visit the Mull of Galloway lighthouse which has a cheap tour . It is the most southerly point in Scotland. There are also nice beaches and an RSPB site at the lighthouse The Logan gardens are also close to this area. We saw a snow goose. This is only the second Snow goose I have seen in Scotland. The locals said it appears on a regular basis

It was an older type property / country house with all the quirkiness you would expect from days gone by but the mix mash of books, pictures, photos and tartan carpets and rugs not to mention the collections of signed cricket bats makes Tors Warren a must place to visit.

Stoneykirk is remote but a lovely place to escape to.
Stoneykirk is remote but a lovely place to escape to. Close to spectacular coastline and in the middle of the countryside, it's quiet with no real local facilities but so much nearby. A great base for exploring Galloway. We visited Portpatrick about 8 miles away which is a lovely little town with some great places to eat. You need to enjoy the outdoors and be able to plan your own itinerary to get the most from a visit here.

This is an excellent place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Breakfast is excellent, the beds are comfortable the bathrooms are very clean and recently fitted out.
The building is full of character as are the two resident Alpaca, Porridge and Patch who live in the field.
Everything is calm and quiet, Galloway is a quiet scenic area of the country, with rolling hills and livestock farms.
You are not far from Mull of Galloway with its lighthouse, very nice tea room and abundant bird life. Belfast is only a ferry ride away, the port of Cairnryan is 20 mins from this B& B.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a helpful receptionist, who confirmed our booking and showed us to our room. However we then had to make our way out of the main part of the hotel, to an annexe, which usually means 2nd class facilities. How wrong could I be??? We were given 2 keys, as we had our own front door, together with the room key. Upon entering we were amazed at the size of the room, and the same can be said for the bathroom. Peaceful location and wonderful breakfast.
The setting is exceptional. Quiet country retreat, main building full of original features, feeling of staying in a classic 60s country hotel. Breakfasts were excellent, staff were a delight, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable - this is is not a 5 star hotel but the furnishings were above our expectations. The countryside around is unspoiled and beautiful, Galloway is a secret the Scots appear to want to keep to themselves.... ;-)
The room was very clean and looked well looked after. It's a pretty location and the hotel has a small garden as well which is a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bathroom looked new and had a good shower. The room had a kettle and plenty of supplies for making tea and coffee. The breakfast was generous, we were really pleased with the amount of tea provided.
Comfortable, spacious room that was beautifully furnished, bath overlooking garden was an added luxury! We had a very late check in and instructions on where to go and what to do when we arrived were very clear and concise. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is set in fabulous surroundings and we were provided with a great breakfast!
The staff are so professional, polite and accomandating, nothing is to much trouble for them. I highly recommend everyone to stay here, if you want to experience being treated like a VIP. Because that how the staff at the torrs Warren made me and my family feel. Can't wait for my next visit.
Brilliant staff, comfortable room, spotlessly clean, very well stocked refeshment tray in room, and a fabulous, very generously proportioned breakfast cooked to perfection. All this in lovely surroundings both within the hotel and in its garden.
Cannot wait to return.
We loved our room in this lovely hotel, with a great view of the furry friends (llamas I think?) living in the garden! Breakfast was amazing, kept us going until mid-afternoon! The staff were really kind, helpful and friendly and we loved the bar and library area.
This hotel is priced more reasonably than so called budget hotels like Travelodge yet it offers a far better and more comfortable place to enjoy your stay. Very friendly and helpful staff always willing to help
