Beautifully finished room. Quiet. Comfortable. Incredible grounds to walk in. The most amazing place to escape the world and find some peace and solitude.

Stornaway is a pleasant port town with a laid back feel and some industrial areas and parts that could do with a spruce up.
The towns got plenty of supermarkets & independents too as well as plenty of restaurants & takeaways.
Travelling around Lewis & Harris is best done by car, but it is possible to use the buses to visit lots of places too. Just double check your times with the drivers.
The beaches are stunning!

Small historic town, that is the ideal for travelling to Harris. There are a few historic sites to see but some of them were not open when we visited. Sunday very quiet with nothing open or available to do. Great place to go for a relaxing retreat.

The shops in Stornoway were super with a good range of things to choose from. We visited the butcher, the charity shops, the deli, the new Co-op supermarket, tweed shops, Tourist Information and Taigh Ceilidh where we received a very warm welcome.

the hotel is fine the staff are good prices a bit high but that is standard for the island. my only problem is a slight health issue and with the very steep stairs and the rooms all upstairs i found this a problem but the hotel is ok.

Don't bother with Stornoway itself ( apart from the castle).
Don't bother with Stornoway itself ( apart from the castle). The shopping is poor and it's very difficult to eat out on a Sunday or Monday. Most restaurants are closed! SO BOOK if you can !( We don't think they want to encourage tourists!) Do go to the Black House village and the standing stones. Really interesting. We were looking for wildlife but it was minimal. We were only there 2 full days but wished we were back on Uist!!
I booked this apartment for myself and two colleagues for a business trip to Lewis. My colleagues were a bit skeptical as they usually stay in hotels. The apartment couldn't have been better. All the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The kitchen and laundry had everything you could want and the lounge area was comfortable with a great TV, Echo Dot and very good Wi-Fi. It was located in the centre of Stornoway and so all amenities were at hand. Overall, a great place to stay.
The place to be in Stornoway. A few minutes drive from the city center in a very scenic place overlooking the bay. Felt like home immediately. The rooms were big and very cosy with a lot of storage. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our breakfasts and dinners. We were pleasantly surprised to find fresh breakfast goodies in the fridge which was a nice touch. All in all an amazing place and a great team who were responsive and nice. Highly recommend.
The small room represented a prison. Small window looking onto other walls and an adjacent noisy ventilation duct.
The hygiene of the room left a lot to be desired and this is a quiet time of year so no excuses. A selection of pubic hairs were available from different parts of the bathroom.
Location was excellent but let down by a dirty hotel that was obvious from walking through the dirty front doors.
An utter disappointment and I won’t be back.
Breakfast was good. Room was spacious and airy. Comfortable beds. Rachel was a friendly and amenable host. The B&B is on a street so don't expect any views but in my opinion it was a good location within walking distance to the harbour and main street. We ate at the Royal Hotel and would recommend the informal restaurant there - lovely young staff working there. Also a walk around the grounds of Lews Castle highly recommended.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Lews Castle. Christina was very attentive and personable as so was Matt and Tyler from the cafe/bar.
I would highly recommend those who wish to travel to Stornoway to stay at Lews castle as it is truly a lovely experience. The hotel was kept beautifully and is in a great location
Fully equipped to highest standards.
Very spacious and comfortable.
Location is central to everything in Stornoway.
Hosts provided a very generous welcome pack including best homemaid marmalade I have ever tasted
Excellent WiFi and exceptional customer care from host Murdo.
Spotlessly clean, good size bedroom. 6 min drive from Stornoway ferry port. The real gem though is the host, Olive, who was incredibly thoughtful and went over and above. The breakfast was huge and really yummy! I'm also GF and I definitely didn't miss out! Huge thank you :)
Helen was a lovely host. Great location, proximate to Stornoway and Harris destinations. Wonderful breakfasts, and Helen will do a fabulous dinner for you if you order ahead. Really nice after a long day of outdoor activities. Highly recommend
The property was spotlessly, clean, pleasantly furnished, and everything you need is provided. It is very conveniently located for the center of Stornoway and parking is available very nearby in a free lot. The beds were extremely comfortable.
Good location for walking into Stornoway and the adjacent park. welcome pack of food was nice and thoughtful. Cabins would be an ideal overnight stop if you were just looking for somewhere to stay before catching the early morning ferry.
Warm and enthusiastic welcome from Reception at this well-established Stornoway Hotel. It enjoys a good central position very close to the town centre and has the bonus of two good, if rather expensive restaurants on site.
The hostess was gracious and incredibly helpful. She went out of her way to ensure our visit went better than expected. We will spread the word that No.3 is THE place to stay while visiting the Isle of Lewis.
A cosy and comfortable hideaway a pleasant woodland walk away from Stornoway with all the amenities we required for our stay, comfy beds and a fantastic and communicative host.
We made our own breakfast, which was okay. Stornoway is a pleasant little Town, we really enjoyed it! Short way to go to all places of interest, shops and restaurants.
Very nice facility, luxury stay. Room was difficult to locate, need map of hotel. Signs needed to find reception, the sign existing is in the wrong place.
