Staff were very friendly and we had a pleasant stay. Food in the restaurant was lovely, lots of choice. Would stay here again, good location.

Such a fantastic, historical building full of charm and quirky features but with all the modern comforts such as comfortable beds, large bathroom, air conditioning, a mini fridge and lots of space. The staff were friendly and hard working but on the ball.

    We stayed here after a day at Alton towers nice location incredibly friendly and helpful staff food was amazing!! Breakfast was really good nicely decorated and overall a lovely stay and 20 min drive from Alton towers

    staff were very friendly and attentive. hotel it’s self was very clean very happy. only down side was that the menu in the room was different to the menu in restaurant so if you looked at the one in room and picked something when you got down stairs it was different. but would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

    We travelled with elderly relatives and children and this hotel was perfect for both. The food was lovely and the ingredients all fresh and of a high standard. The brekkie was superb and the staff very attentive. Fantastic base for the peak district, Alton towers and Staffordshire.

    Friendly and polite staff made the stay pleasant. Hotel was easy to locate and check in was seamless. Comfortable and clean rooms, fantastic food which was reasonably priced, green surroundings and the place has some character to it. Overall, we enjoyed the stay here.

    We had an evening meal at the hotel which was very tasty, super hot and quickly served. Slept well in a comfy bed and then breakfast the following morning was great. All staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area.

    Food options good for both Dinner and Breakfast. Room was very comfortable and included a 2 seater settee. Request for walk in shower met. Given that the Hotel is very near a level crossing it was not noisy.

    Always a warm welcome to the Hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean. Evening Meal was fantastic and the waitresses are extremely attentive. Breakfast is just as good. Lovely quiet location.
