Lovely situation, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast. The evening meal was reasonably priced and good quality. The lack of a television and wi-fi in the room is unusual in any hotel, these days. However, for me, I'm not bothered about a television in the room and wi-fi was available in the main communal area.

The view and country side were outstanding, it is situated in a valley with steep hills surronding it and a lake right in front of the hotel. There is off street parking and water craft to rent if you feel adventurist. The hotel is clean with options to sit outside and take in the views. The rooms are clean with all amenities. The only downside is the street outside which you have to be careful when crossing because of cars speeding.

A wonderful place to stay - not somewhere you would just come across, but well worth a visit. Stunning views across the lake which allows swimming and boat hire. We ate in house one night and in a nearby town the second. A car is needed to access the Hotel and surrounding areas. Our room could have been larger, but we shall know to ask next time. Food excellent, friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is situated at the far end of the Tall y Llyn lake. The views, once the mist had cleared, are lovely and our room looked out on to the lake and surrounding hills. he gardens are terraced and had many pretty flower beds and bushes all backed by the surrounding hills. We ate breakfast and evening meals at the hotel but had lunch further afield. We went to Towyn andmet up with family for a birthday celebration took the Tall y Llyn railway up to Abergonolwyn on the saturday. On Sunday we met up with family again for a walk along the beach with their dogs. Only thing to avoid would be the rain!!!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was immaculate, bed was super comfortable(!), excellent choice of hot drinks. amazing restaurant with high quality food and gorgeous views. So many lovely touches included in the room - I really didn’t want to leave! They kindly stored my bike in the boat shed and were just lovely all round! There’s so much to see in the local area and I discovered a steam train running nearby (Talyllyn Railway)

The location of this hotel is just stunning. They are in the middle of the mountains next to a beautiful lake. In the morning, if you have your coffee next to the lake, you can only hear the birds, feel the fresh air, and enjoy nature. Moreover, the staff is lovely and the rooms were very clean and beautiful. Made me feel like I was in a room from the Hobbit, but 2024 version 😂 The food was also great, so I really recommend this hotel.

Traveled with my partner for a nice weekend gateway. The hotel was amazing and definitely exceeded our expectation. After checking in we got asked if we would like to reserve a table for dinner which after a long drive was a great bonus. I don’t eat meat and was pleasantly surprised that the hotel had a vegan option for dinner and breakfast! The room was clean and had a beautiful view. We are already planing on coming back.

Our stay in Dolffanog Fawr was outstanding. Not only the owners were helpful and welcoming, they also went far and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Their place has a homey feeling without loosing any details, its like a five star hotel-home. We loved it. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The views are incredible and the breakfast was outstanding.

Excellent location with stunning view. Very peaceful. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well thought out with high quality furnishings and consumables. Breakfast was by far the best we have eaten in a B & B or hotel. Lorraine and Alex were very helpful and definitely went the extra mile to accommodate us.

I also had an evening meal at the hotel which was very good. I gather it has a non Residents licence so I might consider it if I want to eat out in that area in the future.
