Lovely room, clean and comfortable with a functional fire in the room. Check in was quick and easy and the owner/staff were lovely. Food was delicious, starter and mains were beautifully presented and much better than the expected ‘pub grub’ Let us have a later check out at no additional cost.

Lovely little village with a surprising amount of pubs and shops for such a small place. Very quaint and could imagine living here if I was retired. It felt very safe, no noise at night and the local Indian Restaurant and Fish and Chip shop served very nice food at great prices.

The town is lovely and scenic the people who live there are friendly and helpful and a joy to talk with. there is a local co-op that is always stocked up, plus a delicious ice cream shop right beside it; there is a lovely tourist shop, and the fact that there is a bus terminal with a working schedule which you can get updates on via a tablet touchscreen The only downside is transport there is a bus service but for taxis uts very sparse you would need to drive around if you wish to go any further out of the way.

The room was really small - next time I'll book a larger room. The facilities are basic, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast arrangements are good, but I didn't try the cooked breakfast. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Talgarth has a thriving commumity spirit reflected in their "Grow Talgarth' flower gardens I loved the shady garden opposite the Tower hotel A wonderful idea and well maintained. There are a number of walks in the area, (from 1 mile to 8/9 miles) all combined in one pocket size leaflet.

Lots of lovely landscape and little towns with local shops to potter around. I ate a lovely dinner at ‘The Cock Inn’ which had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I can’t recommend the castle hotel though and would not stay there again
