Lovely couple who own the property, very helpful, good company. Best breakfast I've had in years, cooked to order, first class.

I loved the peace and tranquility of the location. There are 2 horses housed in stables next door and unless you were outside you couldn’t hear them.
Jane (the host) left us in peace but also cleaned the room and left fresh towels daily.

Peppercorn Pod was the perfect choice for our honeymoon. Miranda and John were wonderfully friendly and welcoming hosts who went above and beyond to make our honeymoon very special.
The location is absolutely idyllic. Peppercorn Pod itself is cosy, incredibly well equipped and felt surprisingly spacious due to its ingenious layout. It really is next level glamping.
It rained for much of our stay so we weren’t able to take advantage of the fire pit or bbq but thoroughly enjoyed breakfasting on the private and sheltered veranda from where all we could hear was bird song and running water in the brook, we watched wagtails bopping around and enjoyed the visiting deer. It was so relaxing and the rain didn’t spoil the beauty of the place one bit!
It’s a lovely place to spend time but also a great base from which to explore the Wolds. My husband and I are already looking forward to returning for our first anniversary. Highly recommended!

Lovely, spacious and well equipped accommodation with a large garden. Location was very quiet but only 5 mins in car from Horncastle. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

This pub is over 500 years old, the atmosphere is indescribable, I felt like I was in the frame of the movie, wooden beams experienced by time that saw so many wonderful moments, the smell of the fireplace and soft light soothing my soul, the roosters woke me up in the morning which only reminded me me my childhood. A real Pole in a real English pub

The stairs were very steep for a 'dog friendly' property, unless you count carrying tiny dogs you fit in handbags, my room was above outside smoking area where chatter kept me awake. Staff were attentive and good enough to wait up for check-in due to family emergency. But then talked about me within earshot, weird light flickering in bathroom and going off whilst you were still in bathroom. Half empty shower gel container left from previous person, not sure about Covid cleanliness? Dog friendly generally and warm welcome but then when large dog couldn't manage steep stairs, felt awkward. Very loud snoring from men in rooms either side but that's not inn's fault. Slept only two hours? Very hot room, quite distressing for dog in warm weather and no fan provided or air conditioning.

Lovely village.
Lovely village. As we are moving there soon, we look forward to getting to know the people who live there. Also looking forward to exploring the area. Unfortunately there are no shops in the village except a small one in the pub.
