The house was clean and cosy, and had a very good sleep. The host was lovely to chat with and made a very nice breakfast with fresh fruit, homemade goods and great scrambled eggs that she kindly offered! I would stay here again if in the area ❤️

Total peace and quiet.
Total peace and quiet. Side roads need care, 20mph in many places. Tisbury village lovely, coffee shop and church, visited Old Wardour Castle, Salisbury Market and Cathedral ( by bus) Shaftesbury, Wilton House and most beautiful Wilton garden centre. Tried several public footpaths which are in abundance. Met some lovely people too, even if trespassing by accident on their land. Plus James May’s Royal Oak at Swallowcliffe. Worth a visit to view the Oak Room and beautiful furniture, within walking distance across fields “if you are lucky” and many beautiful horses to watch plus other creatures. A magical 6 nights.

Lovely village full of character, beautiful views and lovely...
Lovely village full of character, beautiful views and lovely old buildings. The locals are friendly, and the small shops are excellent. Some great pubs and takeaways, too! The surrounding countryside is out of this world, with lots of public footpaths to explore. Just an awesome part of the beautiful English countryside to get out into.

We are walkers so this is a great area for us to visit.
We are walkers so this is a great area for us to visit. However, there are plenty of attractions nearby. Stonehenge, Salisbury etc.
We were primarily there to attend a family wedding at Old Wardour Castle which is worth a visit.
We were self catering so I cannot comment on the restaurants or pubs but there were plenty around.

Tisbury is a great village to visit.
Tisbury is a great village to visit. It has a couple of pubs (the Boot Inn has proper real ale served from the barrel). There are many interesting shops including a couple of coffee shops and delis. Great walks can be taken to explore the surrounding area. It has a regular train service into Salisbury, so you can go out for a day or night without driving.

Lovely village in delightful countryside.
Lovely village in delightful countryside. There is a post office, supermarket with a cashpoint, fish and chip shop, chemist and great tearoom....Beatons Nearby are lovely pubs and Old Wardour Castle. It does not take long to get to Salisbury, Longleat or to the South Coast.
Surrounding lanes are narrow and careful driving is needed but you pass through some charming villages.
The Hare Lodge was a fantastic B&B on the edge of the beautiful village of Tisbury. You're just over an hour away from the likes of Bournemouth and Weymouth with Salisbury around a 30 minutes drive. We stayed in the family room which had more than a enough space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Great facilities and excellent cleanliness. Lovely continental style breakfast. Just to top it off George and Sue are so inviting, helpful and simply lovely, kind people where nothing is too much trouble. Absolutely nothing to fault.
The Compasses Inn was really charming. The exterior looks traditional but all the bedrooms and bathrooms are modern inside. I believe Alex checked us in and he was really welcoming and helpful. We had dinner there in the garden and it was tasty. Great location if you're planning to visit Salisbury, Stonehenge or even the Jurassic Coast. We stopped there as part of a road trip. We had to go early the next day so we didn't try the breakfast but the village of Tisbury 5 min drive from there had takeaway coffee options etc.
We came for three nights to visit a wedding in my family. The Hare Lodge with its beautiful and clean rooms was the best place to spent a great time in Tisbury and surrounding. It is idylic and quiet. The hosts Sue and George made us very comfortable. They had every time a good word, a warm eye and helpful hint when we had questions or when we talked about our plans for those days. It was sourrounded by a rich, fresh and delicous breakfast, just the way we liked it. It is highly recommended!
The location was stunning. The people were very friendly. It's a little bit out from Tisbury but it is just a beautiful location and the food was amazing. It maybe could do with a transport link like a taxi or bus to the town if you didn't have a car but the scenery was lovely. The staff were excellent and couldn't of been nicer. This place should be booked straight away as it'd hard to find accommodation in Tisbury ots definitely a place to go.
We stayed at Withyslade Farm for 3 nights when attending a wedding in nearby Tisbury. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and there’s lots of space downstairs so even though there were four of us and a young baby, we never felt cramped. The surrounding area is beautiful and we loved how quiet and peaceful it was! Parking is very close to the cottage and the owner, Helen, was very helpful, even agreeing to amend the dates of our stay at short notice
Hare Lodge is very conveniently situated on the edge of Tisbury, only a few minutes' [delightful] walk down into the centre. It's a clean modern property, and the room was extremely comfortable and well appointed with a lovely view over the garden and beyond. Excellent continental breakfast, and George and Sue were very welcoming. We'd certainly stay there again.
Amazing, beautiful property! The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. My kids loved the horses, sheep, goats, chickens, and farm dog wondering the property! it’s a quick 5 minute driver into Tisbury. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment you could need. Everything was clean and tidy. We will definitely be back!
Hare Lodge is a large comfortable modern house just outside Tisbury. Th location is very quiet. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Sue and George are very welcoming hosts and provided excellent continental-style breakfasts. The Lodge is an easy drive to local places to eat and local attractions.
Fabulous views over gorgeous countryside. Grandchildren loved the freedom to see all the animals every day in a safe environment. All the rooms were spacious. The farm was close to all the facilities in Tisbury village which had everything you needed. It was excellent value for money in a beautiful location.
The cottage was warm, comfortable and felt like a home from home! The breakfast was delicious and at a a perfect time! We walked from the Compasses Inn to Tisbury and back again through beautiful countryside, it was an idyllic stay!
Lovely rural location only 7 mins from Tisbury station with direct train to London. Spacious, very comfortable and well equipped. Walks from the front door. Helen was very welcoming.
