Because we arrived on Sunday and left on Monday, it was all self check in and no breakfast, which was a bit disappointing. We would have stayed at the Globe if we were made aware at the time of booking. The rooms and place itself was lovely.

They have roadworks going on adjacent to the hotel. My room was facing those roadworks. So, not conducive to a relaxed stay and or sleep.

Topsham is a great location to explore the estuary towns.
Topsham is a great location to explore the estuary towns. Located on a main train line from Exeter we were able to meet friends in the city for dinner aswell have leisurely days taking the train to coastal towns of Lympstone and Exmouth. Loved hiring some bikes and taking them along the estuary trail, on the ferry to Starcross. Topsham is a wonderful place to stay or visit we found the pubs and restaurants as well as cafes plentiful we visited the Beijing Star fryer for chinese take away( excellent) the Lighter inn for dinner (very nice) and Denleys Essence of India (well worth a visit). The room was comfortable and had good quality towels, etc. Doom Bar draft beer available in the bar. Good pub food. Location was excellent for our needs. We flew to Exeter Airport and took a taxi to the premises. As a bus stop was right next door to the hotel, we used the buses to go into Topsham and Exeter. No issues with high petrol prices! It was also next to Dart's Farm where we spent some time.DavidGuernsey
