The hotel is nice and was renovated recently. Our room was a bit small but we had everything we needed. The bathroom was really nice and felt luxurious. The bedroom was okay but we stayed for a night and it was very good.

The property was extremely welcoming. You could tell everyone in the pub knew each other, and all of the staff were happily employed there and were looked after by their employer. Everyone was happy to chat to us - both the staff behind the bar and the people using the pub too. The pub was situated in a very quiet area, with the coast literally 30 seconds walk away. The room we stayed in had a huge comfortable bed and large wardrobe. The range of programmes on the TV in the room was also useful. We were concerned when we first arrived to learn we were staying above a pub as we weren’t aware of this before we went, but we didn’t hear a thing. The room was lovely and quiet.

I got a double bed, when I thought I was only getting a single. I had a fridge full of goodies which I was told that I could help myself to, which was totally unexpected and I was asked when I arrived what I wanted for a cooked breakfast in the morning, I didn't think breakfast was provided. Really happy with my stay. My only criticism was that the place needs a bigger sign to show where it is, as I went past it a couple of times.

Went into Turriff on a number of occasions for groceries or just to look around. We found it a lovely place and very the people very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of car parks which weren't expensive either. Highly recommended trying Pitta's Takeaway there food was excellent, all cooked fresh and reasonably priced to. One night we tried Skipper's for fish, chips and curry sauce, they'd ran out of curry sauce so had what was meant to be mushy peas, but they weren't very mushy. A regular fish was just a little bit bigger then a fish finger and we found it extremely expensive and very disappointing to say the least. We will definitely avoid next time we visit.
