I very rarely leave a review because most of my stays are completely satisfactory but nothing special. I wish I could give Ailie 11 out 10. She is so considerate and pays attention to detail to every little thing in the rooms. The rooms are tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable. I stayed in each room on consecutive nights. Nothing was too much trouble, whether that was dinner recommendations, making coffee or cooking a delicious breakfast in the morning. The menu choice is varied and Ailie catered for a veg diet. There was chocolates and shortbread in the room with bottled water. Both showers were powerful and very hot.
The views from the property are unparalleled and I look forward to returning again very soon.

Uplawmoor Hotel is a lovely place to stay, breakfast is...
Uplawmoor Hotel is a lovely place to stay, breakfast is really good, and served very efficiently but without making you feel you are being rushed. The rooms are comfortable and clean, bathroom facilities all good. The staff are very kind and friendly, the bar area is welcoming and there is a good selection of food if you require an evening meal. We are an older couple who were visiting family in the area so the location was ideal for us, we would definitely stay at Uplawmoor Hotel again.
The staff were exceptional. My purpose for going to Uplawmoor was related to family history and Emma was kind enough to loan me a book that was relevant to my search. Cameron, a waiter at the hotel even brought up a previous conversation we had related to my stay which was most welcome. I found myself with an extra day later in the week and they booked me for that day and staff were exceptionally kind to a weary traveler.
Excellent, good selection at breakfast, large glass of juice, traditional cooked breakfast other options. Lunch,Dinner, lovely food, amazing staff, great parking, room and bar, restaurant were spotless. Beautiful location and very quiet. Amimal friendly. Over all a lovely hotel ideally located in the countryside but easy access too all destinations, Friendly locals, very welcoming indeed.
Place was located in a quiet location away from any town. Had a very nice traditional atmosphere you don't get with chain hotels.
We arrived late but Craig who seems to run the whole place was super friendly and very welcoming. Within minutes of our arrival we were all chatting in the bar with some friendly locals. Craig is genuinely interested in the guests and is funny and engaging.
It was convenient for our route from Scotland to Northumbria. It had better ratings than some other hotels in the area and was in a reasonable location and had off road parking.
The hotel manager and staff were very friendly and helpful.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The en-suite shower room was also exceptionally clean. We had a good evening meal in the restaurant. Good hotel for a stopover.
the hotel is lovely and would defiantly go back we arrived on the Friday night for a one night stay and there was a quiz in the lounge area with craig and it was great very welcoming and we had a ball
Lovely hotel in a picturesque village. The staff could not have been more helpful. Customer service was brilliant. Food was delicious (evening meal and full Scottish breakfast).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whitehouse in Uplawmoor. Ailie and Nigel welcomed us into their beautiful family home. Great room and a super breakfast. Thank you so much!
The quality, ambience, character and almost silver service for breakfast.
Once you find it you appreciate the location. A haven and still not far from Glasgow airport.
