The room was excellent, spacious, comfortable and clean. I did have to unplug the mini fridge but after that had a great nights sleep. Staff were happy to help with anything I asked about.

We didn't have breakfast, which appeared to be adequate.
The peaceful location was amazing. Great fishing lake at your doorstep was a huge bonus for husband and son. The lodge itself is beautiful, very modern. Kitchen has a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle with all the cooking utensils and cutlery you would need.

For tourism, a car is needed as Upton is a small village, though you can walk to there from the property. As well as a pub, it has a famous small traditional fish and chip shop where the locals queue on Friday nights, in our case for 90 minutes! The village is within half an hour of Lincoln and Gainsborough
