The beach is on walking distance and a lot of nice little towns you can visit nearby. We have especially liked our visit to Walmer Castle and gardens. One of the nicest grounds I have visited in England.MiriamNetherlands - 10Scored 10
We visited the area for a wedding at Kingsdown.
We visited the area for a wedding at Kingsdown. Walmer was an excellent location for the weekend. We walked to Deal one evening and caught the train back to Walmer at the end of the night. It was great to have the station nearby.Lyn - 10Scored 10
Lovely walking along the beach front both to the south...
Lovely walking along the beach front both to the south towards Kingsdown and to the north to Deal and Sandwich. Fascinating castles in Walmer and Deal. Good choice of takeaways nearby. We chose Seaview fish and chips which was excellent and Dominos as we wanted home delivery. The pier makes a nice walk and the restaurant/cafe at the end of the pier serves lovely food including cakes!AlisonUnited Kingdom
