We enjoyed the grounds, seeing the rabbits around the lawn and hearing the owl hooting in the evening. We liked using the pool.

You could not fault this hotel for location, cleanliness, staff, food, comfort, facilities. The ONLY thing that the hotel didn't have was parking, but as it is so close to the station, and to the town, a car was completely superfluous in order to enjoy Darlington.
