Beautiful old coaching in. Quirky but everything we needed for overnight stop. Right next to A1 so a bit noisey if you have room at front, but there are nice rooms in courtyard at back. Would stay again

I booked a double room simply because other than use it for sleeping and showering etc. I do not require a grand room and all the rooms I have ever stayed in at The George are very good. On arrival the receptionist advised me that my room had been upgraded to a classic double room..
Every staff member was very helpful.

This is a recently refurbished old hotel which has had no expense spared to bring it up to a very high standard. The ambience is excellent, high level of finishing and comfort. Wansford is a charming old village which is very quiet. The hotel sits next to the River Nene giving a lovely peaceful rural feel. A great place to meet friends and stay.

A beautiful village that has very easy access to all the main routes. The properties in the village have great charm and elegance with not a piece of litter in site. The residents are clearly, and rightly so, very proud of their village. There is a hotel and a very inviting pub/restaurant (both dog friendly) there are also some lovely little shops and a Post Office.

The Haycock Hotel was great with a lovely cafe across the road and pub. It was also handy to have a corner shop to get the paper in the morning. There were lovely walks from the village and not too far to nearby villages with good pubs for a drink or meals. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Everything was really very good, but the whole place is VERY worn. Staff all good, evening meal (Food) very good, just a very unfriendly restaurant atmosphere. Table very plain. No music, TV on but couldn't hear it!
Was no clean path up to the reception. Don't think it had been swept for weeks?
Very friendly welcome and happy to move our room to a lower floor. Lovely large room with comfortable bed, classy decor, pleasantly decorated bathroom.
Breakfast was unfussy, with a reasonable choice considering the hotel was quiet. The cooked breakfast was attractively presented.
All staff we met were friendly and welcoming with good service skills..
The courtyard area was beautiful on a warm evening.
This is so different from the old Haycock, now a quality hotel.
This place has had a refurb since I last stayed and it's excellent. The rooms have everything you need, brilliant shower, everything just feels right. The hotel has been done up really nicely. The staff are incredibly attentive - I mentioned in passing that it's my birthday in a couple of days time, and they brought me a little birthday cake, etc with my pudding.
The hotel has recently been refurbished and both our bedroom and all the communal areas were beautifully decorated.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which were both excellent.
We really liked the hotel, which is conveniently located next to the A1, and will definitely return this year.
The village is pretty as well.
The hotel is in a wonderful location and architecturally exceptional. The decor is stunning and up to the minute and it is furnished to a very high standard. The rooms have very good quality accessories ie coffee machine and hair dryer.
Absolutely stunning. The hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment in last 2 years. The whole facility is magnificent.
The dinner was very good and the breakfast was exceptional.
I wish we had booked 2 nights.
It was all great. The staff were fantastic, the room gorgeous.
The hotel has been lovingly restored to ensure the period elements remain a feature.
It was a lovely relaxing stay
The history of the hotel. The decor following recent refurbishments. The furnishings were to a very high started. We really liked the bar and the breakfast.
