Lovely hotel, great location, very clean room and lovely staff

The Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough is opposite and close to the A1. Large rooms are en suite and there are excellent leisure facilities including a pool and gym.

I booked a double room simply because other than use it for sleeping and showering etc. I do not require a grand room and all the rooms I have ever stayed in at The George are very good. On arrival the receptionist advised me that my room had been upgraded to a classic double room.. Every staff member was very helpful.

Lovely, full of character, tastefully furnished, big room, comfortable huge bed, good shower, great breakfast choices, wonderful poached eggs! Welcoming cookies with teas and coffee in the bedroom. Pleasant roomy lounge area downstairs. Very nicely situated, good parking, short walk into Stamford.
