Didn't arrive till 8.30 at night and was tired. The staff in bar was very nice and as was landlord the following morning but unfortunately the stay at the kings head was a total nightmare. Room smelled foul and the twin bed mattresses was not fit to sleep on just fit for nearest skip as covered in bad urine stains. There was no spoons with cups and saucers for your hot drinks ,the shower was dangerous as scolding hot but unable to reduce temperature so had to rinse body of soap in sink. Television no signal was horrendous and because the room was so dirty my husband and myself never bothered with breakfast because it put us both off. The kings head is a waste of good money if you decide to stay there as it will only be a let down as reviews saying it's good is very untrue and very far off the mark. Anyone thinking of booking there even for one night do yourselves a favour and keep your money as you'd be better off in a one man tent

Warrington isn't a romantic town but our stay was just about getting away on my birthday from the Hustle and bustle of general life. Warrington centre from this hotel is within easy walk with plenty of history, drinking and eateries. Basic getaway for down time with my wife. Lovely weekend.

Great atmosphere, the hotel was lovely and quiet despite there being lots of other guests and a 24hr bar. There’s a free pool table in the bar and lots of comfy sofas. The room was super clean and there the shower was lovely and hot. Great hotel, we were there for a wedding and would stay there again.

A good location if you don't want the busy-ness of Manchester or Liverpool but with those cities within easy train distance. A short train ride to Chester also. Halliwell Jones Stadium is the main draw. The Barley Mow in the Market Square is a great little pub with excellent pub grub.

All good except the TV wasn't functioning properly, so therefore didn't have that use during my stay. The receptionist blamed the weather as his also was providing fuzzy lined screen. In the adjacent cafe's all screens were working. I suggest the engineerneeds to fine tune the settings. I
think I was in room 8, down the corridor on left side.Other that not having TV to unwind after travelling , everything else was very good. Local eating facilities excellent, within the precinct.

We were only there for one night and breakfast the next morning but seems like a nice town, it has a good carvery there called Toby's with great meal deals, we had an excellent buffet breakfast! 😊
We have stayed a few times when we come back to see family and its a good central area as our daughter from Lymm, Warrington and our son from Connahs Quay in wales, they meet us there for breakfast dinner or tea with their families as it is brilliant food, the staff are so lovely and helpful and having 2 Dalmatians we take them in with us for our meals and lovely rooms to settle with comfy beds after a long drive from Cornwall. Look forward to staying next time.
Very new, clean, and quiet. The location is fantastic as it is in walking distance of just about anything you could want. The shower has great water pressure and is nice and hot. The room itself feels like a mini apartment and decorated very nicely. Overall, I love this hotel and will stay again. Shout out to the manager as he was very nice and helpful.
The staff when we arrived were pleasant and welcoming and when we asked about parking said it was included (which was a bonus). They sold basic things like water behind the bar and the room was clean and pretty much what you would expect for a cheap hotel to sleep the night.
Architecture of the property is interesting as this is a church converted in to apartments. Location of the property is very close to the Warrington town centre which is very convenient. Host is very quick in responding to your queries and requirements.
great hotel, brilliant staff, children eat free was excellent and little touches like drawings for children to colour in, monsters for them to locate kept them entertained.
We were allowed a late check out, was very helpful.
Great location practically opposite Warrington Central station & v close to town centre. Lovely staff & excellent breakfast omelette cooked to order by super nice lady in cafe at back of pub, which was included in price.
Great location perfect for what we needed as shopping, visiting family and going out in the evening were a five minute walk away from the town center and retail park hotel was very comfy.
really lovely room, very trendy hotel I thought. breakfast was really good, all warm and fresh and loads of selection. Loved the sofa area for a drink in the evening.
We like the location of the hotel with its close proximity to the Stretton Fox restaurant and our relatives in Runcorn whom we travel to visit every 6 months or so.
The hotel is an ideal location for what we required and looked lovely from the exterior. Parking was good and within walking distance of the town centre.
