Close proximity to the motorway yet still peaceful. The breakfast was fantastic and there was plenty of it. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with stunning views. The price was very reasonable. Alison was absolutely lovely, the perfect host. We sat in the bar sampling drinks in the evening and chatting to her and the other guest, which was great. Plenty of places to eat nearby too.

Everything, from check-in to departure. Our host was friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is filled with historic charm and our room was very spacious and bright with a large window looking out over the grounds. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean and well maintained. The meals provided at the hotel restaurant were amazing.

Our stay just recently was brilliant, the room we had was spacious, comfortable and very clean, also having the little patio was great.
All staff were friendly, helpful and informative, we had the Sunday lunch in the restaurant which was excellent and having a bottle of moet chandon brought to our room when we had finished our meal added to a special visit to Gretna Hall .
