Linda & Peter were welcoming and the room very comfortable with views of their pretty garden. The breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choice. When they realised it was my husband’s birthday they gave us a bottle of wine .

We loved our room in the cottage across the road from the Horse & Groom pub. We were in room 3 which was spacious with a full bathroom AND an additional separate toilet. It was quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast choices were really good and were perfectly cooked and delicious. Breakfast was served in the dining room, separate from the main pub area. The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly and made us feel very welcome.

The location is fabulous, and the main building, rooms and spa clean and atmospheric. The spa is a strong point given the indoor and outdoor facilities. The food, once delivered, was superb and was the highlight of the stay, especially breakfast. If you are allergic to dog hair, stay away, as all the rooms (including bedrooms) are doggy friendly - a plus and negative!

Lovely Inn. Stylish decoration and furnishings, cosy atmosphere. Very old building full of character. Staff very friendly, literally nothing was too much trouble. Family bedroom had everything you need, bathroom had bath as well as a separate shower. Big car park and a large garden area with seating. Ending up joining in with Morris Dancing troupe who arrived… but that was our choice, not compulsory!
