Our stay at Burnside Cottage was amazing. Kacey was the perfect host, welcoming us when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and the shower great. In fact, the room was very well designed. We had everything we needed, including some really lovely organic soap and lots of hooks in the bathroom. Especially important for us, there was a fridge in the room. A lot of thought has gone in to making sure guests are comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, the best food we had been served so far in our trip. I would not hesitate to book again if we get the opportunity to return.

The house was very fine, delightfully quirky and full of character reflecting its long family associations and interests. My hosts were charming to the extent I felt very much at home. I left with reluctance!

I have been to Wick many times because there is plenty to see and do.
This time we headed to John o Groats to the Puffin Croft Petting Farm which was such a joy.The lady who owns the farm is there to greet you and tell you about the goats, the sheep, the pigs, the donkeys, the rabbits and the Shetland pony - hope I haven't missed one!
One place you must look for is the shortest street in the world which is in Wick.

Wick itself is a pretty but windswept and deeply depressed town. There is not a great deal to do in March - the walk to the castle was nice although I was almost blown off my feet. I had half a day there which was more than enough time to do everything that was open in the town. I plan to go back and explore the surrounding area over a couple of days,

Wick is an interesting old town in an interesting part of Scotland. There are many archaeological sites around worth seeing. The town has lovely places to eat, a super museum and places to walk or even swim in open water.

Wick itself looked rather shabby in places (probably looks better at high tide) and was very quiet when we were there. It is a good stop-off when moving up the coast between Inverness and John O'Groats with an interesting castle on the coast just north and other archeological sites close by. It has a good Tesco with reasonably priced fuel and we found a good pizza take-away in the town centre.
The accommodation was good and as expected, but located in a deserted part of the town just back from the harbour. Ours was the only car parked on the road overnight but the area seemed very safe.

Wick is an awful run down town and the accommodation was a disgrace and certainly not as advertised and shall be requesting a refund for mis representation of property. This is not a hotel and certainly not an inn, just a room over a derelict shop
The Bank Guest House is a lovely, family running house. My room was nice, clean and tidy. Location is perfect! I travel around by public transport, so it was an extra having the bus stop next to the door. Breakfast was huge and tasty. The beautiful harbour and the seaside are so close. A seaside walk to the Old Wick Castle is about 2 hours there and back, if you don't stack at the seaside.
After a couple of days of camping along the NC500 with my friends, a well needed break from the outdoors was welcomed. We booked Caithness Luxury Apartment in Wick and it was perfect! It felt like home away from home. Our host Sam was available and responsive to any questions we had. Definitely highly recommended when in the area and I would stay here again!
The Fisherman’s Cottage is a very spacious, well stocked apartment. It’s in a very quiet location and within walking distance to the city center.
Wick turned out to be an unexpected highlight of our Scotland trip. It’s worth exploring on foot. There are numerous hidden trails and lots of eating spots. TFC is perfectly located to check it all out.
The place was amazing, on the top of the hill with stunning landscape on the valley and hills. The house was really cozy and lovely, with all of the comfort inside. Last but not least, the host was really kind!! In case we'll come back to visit Scotland, we will definitely come back in such a wonderful place.
2 bedroom apartment with sofa bed in the living room - ideal for a family with 3 kids! Well equipped kitchen down stairs and more than one tv so again ideal for the kids in the evenings. Good location in wick and great for trips to the many hidden gems up and down the Caithness coastline
Nice little find on my travels around Scotland Room nice clean very quiet though it is going towards the top of the United Kingdom remember!!barman/staff very good chatty basic but does the job pleasent stay 15 minutes walk from wick Station.
Big choice on cooked breakfast menu and very tasty food. We had both dinner and lunch in The Bistro and found the same high standard. The hotel is in a prime location and our roomy apartment was very close by.
The room was clean and had a nice view of the Harbor Bridge. The location is an easy walk from the train, and convenient to walk around the town of Wick. The proprietor is welcoming and informative.
One of the best B&Bs we have stayed at. Delightful mother and daughter hosts. Great breakfast. By far the best accommodation we have stayed at during our two weeks in Scotland.
This is a great little hotel if you only need it for a night. There’s easy parking right across the way and a few restaurants right next door or a few doors down.
a well appointed room. very clean and like a tardis.
once opened door the room kept going! Breakfast wax excellent- best fry up in Scotland! thanks Stewart!
