We travelled with a dog and lots of places say they are pet friendly when they are more pet tolerant. Our dog was welcome everywhere, even the eating areas, and even got a gift.

Wortley is a lovely place to stay but there are much cheaper places to stay which are in beautiful surroundings with good accommodation at about a quarter of the cost of Finkle Street.
Wiry let Hall is a good place to stay and the Wortley arms is a good place to eat but quite expensive.

This hotel is more suitable to large groups like Weddings and not for couples looking for a romantic break. The only place to eat was the bar with a minimalistic menu and a few tables which was not what we expected, the bar area had no atmosphere and was just functional. Everywhere looked like it needed a deep clean including the carpet in our room which was badly stained. I would not stay here again there are more comfortable hotels in the area.

Friendly staff, lovely location and surroundings.
Friendly staff, lovely location and surroundings.
Breakfast enjoyable but tables squashed so close together it was ridiculous.
Very scruffy and tacky interior in great need of a face lift.
Room was below par, more like a Travel Lodge room for premier prices.
Bed and pillows extremely uncomfortable, not even a fridge/mini bar.
Lights out, window wouldn't shut properly and rubbish on the floor.
For £140.00 we were expecting something a little bit more.
Very poor value for money.

We went here for a wedding the place and food where great the accommodation however we where in a family room and most of the wall paper was hanging of or been stuck back on with blue tack for the price I was paying for the room I would expect better I wouldn’t go here again or recommend to anyone to stop. It wasn’t just us complaining either about the rooms waste of money!!!

I enjoyed the surrounding countryside and views, there were people to talk to and lovely walks around the area. I sampled the delicious cakes at the adjoining coffee shop. I had my main meal at the pub next door and Tony and Sue very kindly booked my table in advance for me. The food was served to a very high standard and tasted delicious and was reasonably priced.

Likes- very comfy bed, powerful shower, excellent grounds, excellent views, decent breakfast, friendly staff, room was ready even though we were early, some nice union history and the decor in the main function room really nice.
Dislikes - Very slow service at the bar, Small room (although it was a single), shower cubicle leaked.
But Overall- would love an excuse to come back.
Wortley Hall is a spectacular building in all honesty. It has been used as various different facilities over its years and it a fantastic piece of art inside and out.
The staff at Wortley Hall are perfect host's for a wedding. Always someone walking around asking how everyone is or how their meal was and such. Even down to the breakfast. It was delicious! I cannot say more about the breakfast, just perfect.
On site parking right outside the building is a great addition.
Finkle green is a beautifully situated house, immaculate, comfortable, spotless and the couple who take care of it absolutely lovely people.Their garden is a little heaven with wonderful views where you can sit and enjoy for hours. The homemade breakfast is fabulous, and it was lovely to chat with Rowena and her husband, who owns it. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely B&B. You will feel very much cared for. And the pub next the Wortley Arms is not to mii either.
The room was very clean. Bathroom was beautiful. Loved the fact that there was no TV and that we could open the window. Underfloor heating is very efficient. Was a little warm at night. Area is fairly quiet. 8 minutes walk to the local pub the Wortley arms. Lovely food.
Breakfast was cooked to perfection and was nicely presented. Very modern dining area. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Will return here again. Highly recommend it.
It was the worst breakfast in terms of service, presentation and in particular the food that I have ever had in a hotel and the arrangements for providing a hot breakfast were very poor and I was only served one small rasher of bacon after I simply asked for a sausage and two fried eggs. I went with the expectation of looking at the facilities/food etc for a wedding for my niece and she won't be coming.
I was made to feel very welcome when I arrived at Wortley Guest House and my room was clean neat and tidy. I was impressed with the service. My breakfast was well cooked with plenty of toast and jam available, I was offered more tea if I wanted very pleased with my stay.
Beautiful, modern, clean house in a great location. Rowena and her husband were warm & welcoming. Breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and excellent cooked breakfast-compliments to Brian. Pleased there were no TVs in the rooms. The garden is a lovely place to sit.
The hotel building and surroundings are stunning. We stayed here for my Hen Do and the hotel was really accommodating! Food was great, rooms were comfortable good breakfast on offer too! The room we hired for my Hen Do was lovely too.
Wortley Cottage Guest House was an enjoyable place to stay. Tony and Su were quite a pleasure to talk with. Breakfast was great. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. All together, we would highly recommend it.
Amazing B&B in a beautiful setting yet close to Wortley. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well presented. The owner is very friendly and the breakfast is superb. One of the best B&B's we have visited.
The hotel's historic aspect, overall setting and grounds were perfect. Staff and service were very good. Food and beverages was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for on this trip.
The room was comfortable. To read all about the history of the hall and it's cooperative roots over the past 50 years made us look at it with new found respect.
