Good restaurant on site. In a cute little village.
The hotel is 300 metres from the terminal building at Newcastle Airport and a 15-minute Metro ride from Newcastle city centre. It has free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and a cocktail bar.

Wylam is nice little village friendly locals.
The Ship advertises breakfast on their web page but we didn’t get one. The landlady was on holiday same time we stayed so wonder if that’s the reason why we never got a breakfast. We paid £87 night for small room with very old beds.
We had no shower gels or soaps and had to buy from chemist. Joanne landlady was on holiday hence reason for no breakfast which is stated on website. The room was clean but bed was very old and rickety.
The pub bar staff were very friendly but very limited knowledge on accommodation almost to the point they was frighten to say anything. I did ask if they would pay £87 night for a rickety old bed in 9x11 room.
We aldd sad o had to make our own bed every day / night had there been availability we would have gone to another property..... very disappointed would like some one to call to explain how the dearest accommodation in Wylam yet the only one that doesn’t supply a breakfast

Great little place with friendly locals and very good real ales! We Just found it a little short on eating places on certain nights so visitors need to be aware. However, the village Co-op came to our rescue!

I have family in Wylam, and always stay B&B or hotel my choice. I like Wylam. I usually park the car and walk to wherever I need to go in the area, Found the coffee shop this time, and I always find something in the Pharmacy that is useful. Purchased a thermometer this visit, which I have not been able to locate elsewhere.
I love the sound of the river rushing through the place.

Only there for one evening before watching GNR, but the village was very pretty had at least 3 pubs and an excellent bistro. I would like to complete the Wylam wagonway, I've only covered about 2 miles of it.

We attended for a family wedding so location was very central. Train station a 10 minute walk away gave great access to other areas. People very friendly and helpful we had to use taxis quite a bit the local taxi service were very reliable.
Unusual place to stay but accommodation was good. We had the en-suite room which was nice and clean. They have a kitchen on the same floor as the rooms where there are breakfast cereals, milk and bread provided and facilities to make your own food if you want with a fridge, cooker and microwave.
Ideally placed for train travel and Wylam is a beautiful little village with a number of pubs.
We loved our stay. The hotel had a very homely feel, received a great welcome from staff. It was very pet friendly and had no issues having our big dog in the room. Breakfast was exceptional with a great selection on the menu. Staff did everything they could to accommodate us and we felt like we were really being taken care of. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
We were hiking Hadrian's Wall and stayed at the Boathouse. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations were perfect for four tired hikers. The unique pub serves Thai food that is delicious! The owner went out of his way to be sure we had everything we needed. The Boathouse at Wylam left us smiling and laughing.
The location was perfect quiet country pub,
Beautiful place inside perfect for the Christmas period, staff were the best, the hotel was imaculatey clean with the nicest smelling rooms! Food was absolutely banging! Best sticky toffee pudding to date.
The location was good, as was the parking. We were on a "room only" basis so we can't rate a breakfast. We found Wylam to be a lovely village with several nice walks and excellent real ale pubs, friendly locals, and handy for lots of sightseeing.
breakfast was excellent, staff were really nice and helpful and accommodating . There was ample parking and the hotel was within easy reach of other bars, restaurants and the local shop. the room was well ventilated and spacious.
Lovely place to stay the hotel was lovely and the food was amazing as well. Top service. Train station very close to easily get onto Newcastle city centre
Great hotel in a perfect location for walkers doing the Hadrians Wall path. My room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were very nice and helpful.
