Very small, historic town, very olde world, friendly people, not over burdened with gift shops, lots of pubs in a small area. Most offering good traditional cooking. Like the castle, it's small but well kept. If you like fish and chips, they are wonderful from the blue crab. Best pub, wheatshief, friendly, good beer, good food and dog friendly.

Yarmouth has a good hotel and some great restaurants. It is a ferry port for a rail-connected ferry to the mainland of England and has a good bus service to other parts of the Isle of Wight. It is surrounded by countryside with some good walks and pleasant beaches.

Yarmouth was easy distance to walk too and there was a good amenities as well as restaurants for all types of food and for drinks. Good weather helped to enjoy outside seating areas. For those who need to eat gluten free There are many options available including takeaway

Lovely little town with great hotels, inns, restaurants and shops. Handy for sailing and boating people, but for landlubbers like me, too, with ferry from Lymington right in the town. Just minutes walk from Yarmouth harbour it is great if visiting via ferry. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. Each room is huge and the beds are soo comfortable. The owner is easy to reach and for our stay went over and above to make our stay special. The views are spectacular and the garden is well kept and lovely. We will most definitely be back!
