Great place to stay in senyang .in fact best place in Gambia. Ismaila suma was the best of hosts. Never stopped working. So polite and kind . Lodge located right on the beach. Fantastic.

Met my expectations. A quiet room in an off the track location where I could carry out my bird watching and bird photography. Evening meals were good and the staff and locals always friendly.

The staff is truly wonderful and happy to help you with whatever you can think of, which made our stay very nice. The garden of the resort is a beautiful place and offers a very nice place if you like to see some animals, as it attracts a lot of fauna being a very green and well-plantend place in the area. If you visit Gambia to watch birds and if you are looking for a quiet place to spend some relaxed days and watch birds in the garden and around the property, this is a perfect place.
For people keen on birding: we were surprised by a fly-by through the garden of a Standard-winged Nightjar while relaxing in front of our room, which indicates the value of this place for nice birds. In the evening, these birds are often present on the property and can be easily seen on the path. Besides this stunning species, lots of common and less common birds can be observed in the garden, starting with a nice view on the garden while having breakfast.

A peaceful place just 10 minutes from a quiet, beautiful beach. The place is run by Renate who is great to talk to and can advise you about onward travels as well as local life. The huts are clean and have a private bathroom, there is plenty of space to sit outside. Best of all is the breakfast in the morning with fruit, oats, bread, eggs and even cheese . I highly recommend this place.

Apart from the initial disinterested greeting by the night man the staff were very helpful and friendly. The facilities look like they could be good, but I was the only guest and I felt like I was staying in a hotel that was actually closed.

Many b & b resorts along the beach and I've stayed at a few all pleasant and great price if your on a budget. Most have good WiFi ( free) if your not looking for luxury and just want clean en suite room to sleep then you in the right place. Several activities take place such as wrestling and drumming with African dancing, reggae night, boat rides, there is a nearby fishing village.. for a more tranquil stay if you go further along beach past the fishing village its so calm and peaceful...and can lunch at Mama Africas.

Sanyang is a nice african village.
Sanyang is a nice african village. Here you can experience everyday African life without tourist influences.
I had dinner at Arijana - just heavenly - Resort. I got this insider tip, as the restaurant is normally not open for the public. I asked and the owner Maline Lowe cooked great shrimps
From Sanyang it is easy to get wherever you want by taxi!
