The people. I met a female bike driver that was AWESOME! She as attentive to what my husband and I was searching for in the city. There was always some place to go and people to see. Best transportation are the motorbikes, they get inand out at a very reasonable price. The variety of food is plentiful and the best darn tangerines and apples I have tasted. People were very freiendly and helpful.

I enjoyed Conakry because I had to work there but was happy to leave before the week-end. Unfortunately, the touristic/cultural offering is close to non existant snd the climate (very humid end of October) was another reason not to stay.

It's a mess. Don't come here unless you have to. We came with vehicles: Corrupt traffic cops, a ton of traffic and noise. Not really recommended. Guinea itself on the other hand is very beautiful.
