We have been in love with Afissos for over 40 years. We love Arriba for more than 10 years but (there is always a but) if we come next year we will not forget to bring a kettle, a bread knife, teaspoons (there was one) cups (there were two) soup bowls (there were 4 plates, all flat), some pasta sauce pot or something. Oh and wine glasses, we don't like drinking out of coffee cups. Aaaah, we'll leave coffee mugs from the last gas station, they'll be good for brushing teeth. If we don't forget it, we'll be there in extreme comfort.

The studio is large, with an excellent location and everything you need for a pleasant vacation. There is a huge and comfortable bed, fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, glasses, plates - everything you need, even more than necessary :) We arrived late in the evening and yet they welcomed us. There is a table in the studio and outside in yard. There is also a table on the street in front and you can eat on the beach. We are extremely happy with the service!
Navigation took us via narrow road with sharp turns where is difficult for driving. I recommend, if you are coming by car from Volos, to use the first entrance for Afissos and pass by Sonar Beach Spot. You can set as a location this restaurant, which is right after the studio - Ψαροταβέρνα Ο Φάρος or this link in Google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/%CE%A8%CE%B1%CF%81%CE%BF%CF%84%CE%B1%CE%B2%CE%AD%CF%81%CE%BD%CE%B1+%CE%9F+%CE%A6%CE%AC%CF%81%CE%BF%CF%82/@39.2699355,23.163597,17z/data=!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x14a71770f4e70e33:0x984e4834df2701af!2sSonar+Beach+Spot!8m2!3d39.2796072!4d23.1554431!16s%2Fg%2F11nxf_p49l!3m5!1s0x14a717fe0d2f8737:0xb7abf315d75e40bd!8m2!3d39.2695767!4d23.1656773!16s%2Fg%2F11q469q08x?entry=ttu

Small village who keeps the traditional architecture .
Small village who keeps the traditional architecture . All new houses are builded with same structure. Has downtown and hill position. There is inly one market and one mini market, and one souvenir shop.
But there are many restaurant and caffe shops, so you can enjoy in greek food.
The bigest problem in Affissos is parking , and very rare any accommodation to have parking place. All the cars are parked even on the street ( and the street is very narrow) even on the beach waht is immediately after the vilage.
Access to the sea from my accommodation was just 50 m. You can swim there if you want, but if you want to go on beach than you should walk for not more than 10 min, about 300-400 m to the Abovos beach.near by there are two more beach, but on the others the problem is parking. On Abovos you have enough parking all day. The water is warm and calm all day.

Afissos is a characterful seaside town with several tavernas offering various dishes along the front. There are beaches at either end, one big, one small and the water here is crystal clear. It is very peaceful during the day then it comes alive at night. You can find some quiet places with others playing traditional Greek music. We particularly enjoyed Arriba which has a cool vibe and served the best food, in our opinion. There is nothing brash about this place. Behind the sea front are cobbled alleyways to explore and there is a beautiful shady square providing a retreat from the hot July sun. I would recommend Afissos for a chilled, relaxing holiday.

Afissos is the Queen of the Pelion; a delighful small town with great beaches, bars and restaurants. Laid back and stylish it is a really good base to for a relaxing time and for exploring the south Pelion area. The market town of Argolasti is about 25 minutes away and the wonderful Potistika Beach (pictured) about 35 mins by car. There are several good small hotels; Agnanti is the best appointed with superb views, but a steep climb to get there. Faros is good too and conveniently situated within 50meters of the sea. The beach restaurant Acrogiali is really good and has its own kitchen garden.

Afissos is a picturesque seaside village with great little...
Afissos is a picturesque seaside village with great little Tavernas that provide really good food, both traditional Greek and local specialities which are so tasty and must be tried. 2 or 3 fabulous beaches, some with sun umbrellas and sunbeds which are free if you are sitting on the beach by a restaurant. Such a quiet but beautifully relaxing place is a very rare thing. No loud music bars OR nightclubs and that can be said for all of these villages on the west and south Pelion. This is a place where 18-30s are missing and long may it remain so. Suitable for Couples, Older age groups who just want to relax and families with young children Totally delightful. Getting around Afissos is best on foot. A regular bus to Volos is a real bargain at €2.40pp each way and takes about 45 mins. A hire car is a good idea for travelling further afield to other gorgeous villages like Milies' Milini and Trikeri. We loved it all so much

There are many beaches around with amazing views.
There are many beaches around with amazing views. The village are very small and you can walk around and eat in many restaurants. there are public bus from Volos all day, but if you can, take a car to go around to the beach.
A meticulously and lovingly restored stone house that is inspiring to stay at. The house is spotlessly clean and comfy and inviting. Located on a hill with stunning views all around, excellent light, and an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and the town center. I didn't want to leave this place, it was quiet, calm, and relaxing. The host was the best, helpful in every way, and was an instant friend.
We absolutely loved this apartment.
The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, the property itself was immaculately clean, was very comfortable and had two fabulous terraces overlooking the sea. The location is perfect - just a short walk down to one of our favourite beaches and to the little shops, bars and restaurants in Afissos. We very much hope to return!
Amazing view, friendly and professional staff, very clean and very close to the promenade area where restaurants are. The village is built on a hill with a steep slope, so you had to walk uphill to go back to the hotel, but the distances are really small, and the incredible view of this place really pays off.
Incredible location, just a minute away from the beach and a walk into a lovely seaside town. Full floor of a house, with kitchen, bathroom, nice room, a balcony, and plenty of amenities. There were towels, a washing machine, beach gear, and even some jam and grapes in the fridge.
Great location, the beaches are close, the staff is very polite and hospitable. Arriba bar has a great selection of food, desserts, drinks and great coffees. Try as much as possible from the menu!
Because of all this, we booked here for the second time.
The location of Guesthouse Irene is great. It is very close to Afyssos and you just have to cross the street in front to reach the beach bars and the sea. The studio was great as well and is has everything that you need for your stay.
Well-equipped apartment, quiet location, on the waterfront. Clean and comfortable. Make sure you drive through Lefokastro to reach it, as the road through Afissos is very steep and dangerous. Great owner, very kind and attentive.
Very nice and clean place, super close to the nearest beach, you can go on foot there. But also, very well connected to other beaches. The rooms are good, the view from the balcony is nice, and the hotel garden is beautiful.
Very clean apartment, quiet, with an excellent sea view! Great location, as it was very close to the beach and to tavernas and cafes. Mrs Anastasia was a wonderful host, as she helped us immediately with anything we wanted.
The owners went out of their way to assure we are enjoying our vacation.
A nice and quiet beach is a short walk away.
The kitchen is clean and functional, and the trace is welcoming at morning or evening time
