The location was perfect to start many adventures on the island. A fifteen minute walk to Apollonia and a great Taverna close by, but very peaceful. Very cute garden and porch with chairs. We also enjoyed the complimentary coffee pods and someone came to make our bed. The property itself is very characterful.
Aris goes over and above to make sure his guests have an enjoyable stay. He is continuing the family business from his grandparents and when we were there was organising many additional improvements and renovations to the rooms and apartments to make them even better. He gave us some great local recommendations for the island and helped organise a taxi from the ferry.
We loved our stay at Nostos Sifnos and hope to be back!

Small hotel vibe with all the conveniences of a larger hotel, with a wonderful restaurant and attentive staff. The location was great with views of Kastro and the ocean, and just a short walk into town.
We were offered a free transfer from the port which was very kind, and the staff were always happy to help out with booking cars, or organising tours etc. Everything about our stay was wonderful!

It's such an amazing accommodation on a wonderful island! Maria is such a lovely host! She was very caring and thoughtful, and her breakfast was absolutely delicious and heartwarming! The view from the terrace over the sea and islands next to Sifnos is breathless! I definitely recommend this place!

The room was very clean and comfortable with thought going into the layout and furniture. The host was very friendly and provided advice on what to see and do. This was our second time staying at Esmeralda Apartments. We love it here, the staff are fantastic and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. The location is great, just a short walk to Apollonia. The rooms are really nice. Already looking forward to our next visit!

The room is 1 minute walking from the main street in Apollonia, which is great for when you go out at night. the best Restaurants and bars are there.
There is a great bakery next door.
Both hosts were very helpful, they came before our check in time to pick up our luggage so we could find them ready on the room, and gave us a quick ideas on the island, bars restaurant beach etc.

The owner and her husband are lovely people. The bbq facilities are nice. We were spoiled by her husband that went out of his way to get us prickly pears. A nice bottle of wine in the fridge and coffee, cookies and goodies. She communicated very well with us. It was special to stay in a tradition dove cot home.

The hotel is well located being only a short walk from the port and the beach. The bus stop to the village is across the road. We had a nice room with a large terrace overlooking the bay. However, the shower was small and we did not have hot water. The welcome was good but breakfast did not vary. Not everyone wants toasted cheese sandwiches and hard boiled eggs for breakfast every time. A choice of omelette or other eggs would have been appreciated.BobUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Good sized town with plenty of facilities. Steno has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Lots of good more traditional places too along the road. A charming town with lovely artisan shops, bakeries and restaurants. The locals are lovely. This is a good location to be based in while exploring the island. We went in late October so many places were closed due to the off-season but it led to a very tranquil experience. If I were to return I would go in the summer when everything is open. Fully satisfied with the place! Dora is an amazing and polite host. We stayed in her place for 4 days and she let us do a late checkout the last day to arrive on time on the port! The place is exactly like in the photos, rooms are spacious and super clean! The outdour place is actually bigger than it looks and its an amazing place to have your coffee in the morning and watch the view of the island and the sea in the horizon. Even if it is in the center of Apollwnia, the place is very quiet. We definately recommend it and we wish to go back soon.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

We found Apollonia a great centre to stay for exploring Sifnos. Plenty of shops and restaurants, and a good bus service (even towards the end of September) for getting around the island. The Sifnos Trails were lovely for hiking.

We loved staying in this part of the island because there are so many choices for shopping, dining and cocktails. The taxi service in the centre of town is fantastic and the buses are very reliable and comfortable. Perhaps next time we would spend a few nights in beautiful Vathi Beach to get away from the centre for awhile. It is stunning and very laid back.JohnAustralia

It’s a nice little walk into town with a bus stop near by. George was so kind and helpful, explaining to us the island and arranging a taxi for us to the port. The grounds are beautiful, you’ll just want to sit out and admire all the beautiful fruit trees. My advice is to slow down on the island of Sifnos, take all of George’s advice and enjoy all the yummy food.MagenUnited States

There's also a convenient parking lot very close to the house. Brand new place close to To Steno, the main street in Apollonia with all the bars and restaurants, two supermarkets and a bus stop with direct buses to Sifnos' best beaches. Well-designed apartments with modern bathrooms (not easy to find on Greek islands) and spacious patios. The family running the property has been most helpful whenever we needed advice. Would definitely stay again.
