Excellent location, rooftop garden with hot tub. They upgraded our room and we had a huge room with a balcony we could have sunbathed on if we had stayed longer. We were in the town for one night only, and found the hotel perfect for cocktails nearby in the evening and then seeing the turtles in the morning! Breakfast was good, staff were friendly.

We booked a last minute overnight stay in Argostoli after travelling around the island from our base in Skala. The room was huge, spotless and very comfy. A massive shower with good water pressure and tea/coffee making facilities were an added bonus, recommend!

Loved the location right on the main road into Argostoli facing the water. As a female solo traveller, it was ideal. The restaurant downstairs is open all day and is a peaceful escape from the busier pace outside. The single room was snug but spotlessly clean and the staff, both in the hotel and restaurant area were friendly and kind.
Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia there you will find Hotel Aggelos Kefalonia. A small, elegant hotel, with similar prestige, built in the neoclassical architectural style of Kefalonia.

Immaculately clean rooms and comfortable beds. Nice view of the square and an amazingly tasty and varied breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bath in the bathroom too. Staff were very professional and friendly and were immaculately presented in their uniforms.

Location was very good, rooms are super clean and cleaned every day. You have to walk a small hill if you're coming from the marina but its not bad. The staff tho were not friendly at all, didn't help with anything and didn't even smile. You can probably find a better deal down at the marina.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay, after some busy travel time. This place was great. I imagine it is more active in the summer months, but we were looking for peace and quiet. Lots of restaurants nearby, though we chose to cook quite a bit because we've been on the road for a while. There were a couple of things we would have like to see (Archeological Museum and Botanical Gardens) but they weren't open yet. That's okay. We come to Greece in the off-season and know what to expect.

It was our first time to Kefalonia, so weren't quite sure what to expect.
We wanted to stay somewhere busy and real, rather than a purpose built resort, so we chose Argostoli. Our first impression was that it did seem quite rundown, especially along the front, but we very quickly changed our views and saw the place for what it is - a busy, working town which was what we wanted. The first night we walked a short distance from our accommodation and soon came across the main square and the numerous streets leading from this which were filled with bars, restaurants, shops, entertainment and that was it for us - we were hooked!! Argostoli is an amazing place, there's lots to see and do, you can visit all the different resorts and great beaches really easily by bus or taxi (if you don't want to hire a car or bike), it has great nightlife, lots of shops, and lovely restaurants serving all types of food. There's plenty of fast food & takeaways if you just want to grab something quick to eat and there's loads of coffee shops. We didn't get chance to do a boat trip or see many of the sights as we were only there for 4 nights, but this is something we definitely want to do on our next visit to the island. Give the place a try and I hope you love it as much as we did!!

It was my second stay in Kefalonia.
It was my second stay in Kefalonia. This time I booked an apartment in Argostoli itself. Previously, I didn't have the opportunity to visit the entire city. Now it turns out that the city hides a lot of positive surprises. The city is beautiful and vibrant. There's nothing missing there. Restaurants, bars, promenade, handicraft shops, main square. A wonderful city, but you need at least a few days to discover its beauty.

Beautiful town.
Beautiful town. Impressed at how walkable / pedestrian friendly it all felt. Loved seeing the sea turtles in the harbour. Beautiful tavernas along the quayside. Wonderful quick, regular and cheap ferry trip across to Lixouri. Walkable to Lassi where there are beautiful beaches and lots of eating places. Argostoli has lots of amenities (food shops, pharmacies, ATMs etc)

Argostoli is an attractive town, spread out along a bay.
Argostoli is an attractive town, spread out along a bay. It provides a good base for exploring the island. You can use local buses to get to nearby beaches: we liked Kalamia beach (quite low key). The ferry to Lixouri, over the bay, is a very pleasant 30 minute ride and there is a beach on the edge of the town there. You can get to Asos (lovely)and Fiskardo (very crowded with tourists) by bus, but get to the bus station early to get your ticket. Agia Efimia is also a pretty town and has a shingle beach with crystal clear water and you can get there by bus. Buy some beach shoes to save your feet from the shingles! To see the loggerhead turtles, go down to Argostoli harbour in the morning, when the fishing boats are throwing scraps into the water.
Kefalonia is a beautiful island.
everything was just amazing!
the host Chris and his mom are wonderful people. they are so caring and responsive! they even brought me a bowl of my favorite berries from their garden!!!
I love the happy cats roaming around and playing, all taken care of!
The studios are very cozy and have everything you need. every of them equipped with an outside patio so you can enjoy your dinner outside.
the pool is clean and the view from the common area is breathtaking.
if I’m ever back to kefalonia I know where I’m staying :)
Exceptional, luxurious stay for a family of 4. The water views from the balcony were stunning. Proximity to heart of the town of Argostoli town was perfect. Very clean suite with very comfortable bedding. The host was incredible. She was always contactable, offered helpful tips with our itinerary that made our stay in Kefalonia unforgettable. Would highly recommend Twelve Suites Collection. Cannot wait to visit them again.
perfect escape! completely private and away from the mainstream. really loved the atmosphere and the views. exceptional bungalow! very big garden, quiet, a private swimming opportunity directly in front, couple of nice, not crowded beaches around. excellent taverna just there. very nice and welcoming hosts. simply the best place to be in Kefalonia! extremely romantic and very relaxing!
From entering the hotel we were made to feel so welcome as the receptionist and all the staff were so nice and extremely helpful. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with the addition of a balcony and lovely sea view, Location was right in the centre of Argostoli close to everything. Excellent hotel and will definitely be returning as we visit Kefalonia regularly.
Fantastic set up for a few nights in Argostoli. Felt like a home away from home. Appreciated that it had a bathroom with laundry facilities and kitchen area. Very clean and the owner was so helpful. You would need a car as a little walk from main area but you’ll need one anyway to explore the wonderful sights of the island end to end. A must stay in Kefalonia!
The Kefalonia Grand is loacted in the middle of the Argostoli promenade, perfect location, if you prefer to be in the centre of happenings. Our room was bright and spacious with a big balcony, as we stayed in one of the suits on the third floor. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for it, we loved you all.
Amazing people, fantastic place to stay. I believe staying in Lassh area is the best choice when you are looking to stay in Argostoli. Pool is fabulous, the Hotel is located to a very quiet place next to everything! Beach is a click away and downtown is next to you! Breakfast was superb. One of the best I had this summer.
Probably one of the best places and the cleanest I ever stayed on. The view was amazing, the lady was VERY helpful and polite, and it was only a 5-minute drive from Argostoli. Yes the road needs a little fixing, but the distance is so small that it doesn't really matter. 5 stars, I really recommend it.
We stayed here for 1 night as our flight got to Kefalonia late. Very lovely man at reception when we checked in. The hotel is gorgeous! Our room was so clean and comfy. A few snacks and water in the fridge for us too. Amazing value for money, would consider staying for longer next time.
Should be rated way more than a 2 star! Beautiful charming hotel with awesome cruise ship views! Small details like a welcome note and cookie along with a goodnight note and small bottle of wine was amazing and not seen in even the 5 star we stayed. You won’t regret staying here!
The apartment was very spacious and we really felt comfortable. We had a car and there was plenty of parking and it was really easy to get around the city. Of the 3 apartments we've rented so far during our 3 month stay in Greece... this was the best.
Everything, Best location, great room and facilities, beautiful room decor, new and modern, right in the center of everything, attentive hotel personal.
Overall just perfect.
