We had stayed before and noted that there were major renovations to the pool area which had been reconfigured and the tiling was modernised. There was new planting around the pool also. The staff were under new management - George, who was professional and helpful. The food buffet looked superb. We had a great breakfast and late checkout was facilitated. The new windows were triple glazed and despite the proximity of the airport we had a very quiet nights sleep on a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was newly renovated also.
Overlooking Garitsa Bay, the 5-star Corfu Palace offers a thalasotherapy spa centre, an outdoor pool and fine dining. All elegant rooms feature Ionian Sea views. WiFi is offered throughout.

Lovely architecture, clean streets, classy cafes and restaurants. Fairly noisy, but seemed to switch off at midnight which was great. Massive choice and variety of cuisine. Modern, efficient local and island-wide buses. English spoken everywhere, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. Highlight - Apothiki for mezzes and fabulous local folk music at the weekend.

So much to see and do and so little time to see it all:
Churches, beaches, ancient sites, museums, The old fortress, the new fortress, watersports, bars, restaurants, coffee houses etc
One can catch ferries to Italy, Kefalonia etc. Scenery is great if it's not raining.
Dining out I would recommend The Tratamento, Filellinon 3,7 Corfu Old Town +30 26610 33267. It is about equidistant between Venetian Well and the Orthodox Cathedral
A popular trip is from Corfu to Saranda in Albania ( an up and coming holiday destination), Similar sites of historical or natural interest.

Beautiful harbour areas between the two fortresses and along the coastal promenade area to the windmill. Lovely squares, parks and attractive Italian-style architecture in the quaint and bustling streets of the old town. A vibrant and interesting town with numerous restaurants, bars and traditional, touristy and modern shops. Great place to explore in is own right and as a centre to tour the island, with good bus services.

Absolutely beautiful I loved the Corfu old town market, mon repos beach, the palace, fort and water views.
Corfu town also has Starbucks and really good restaurants which is not too expensive compared to some of them. I recommend Pan e souvlaki restaurant which is a few minutes walk from the Corfu old town market. You can also find lots of nice dessert places in Corfu town too.

This is a picturesque Venetian town, reminiscent of Dalmatian or Italian coastal towns. There is a great, buzzing atmosphere, with lots of traditional shops, restaurants and cultural places to explore. With all the profits from tourism, I wish the Corfiot council would invest more money into the upkeep of the facades and infrastructure of the island. Also, there is a lot of litter around which could be easily managed if there were signs displayed and more bins provided. Do visit Rose's Vegan Patisserie with the best traditional (yet healthy) sweet treats ever!
so different than an apartment!
What an amazing experience! Thank you to Donia and her son George who were outstanding.
We wanted 2 nights in old Corfu town before heading to Paxi, this was by far the best experience rather than an apartment.
Based at the old Fortress within the sailing club. Felt safe, the boat is clean, homely and a home from home, just amazing! Loved listening to the music school in the morning, just the most fantastic experience, thank you Donia!
I’ll definitely be back to have a skipper to take us out on Cleopatra!
The apartment's location was absolutely perfect! It was right at the centre of Corfu Town with all the shops, cafés and restaurants available, but it was also not directly on the main street with great insulation with the balcony window so we would not be disturbed by the noise.
Despite never meeting the host, he was very responsive to my messages through Booking.com advising restaurants, cafés, bars and anything I needed.
It's also walking distance (15-20min) to the main Bus Station to travel around the Island.
The location was fantastic - best I have seen in Corfu Town, and the location is extremely central so you can walk to all the you need: bars & restaurants, shops, sights and along the coast - and you can swim in the sea of course. The hotel is dated however this is surpassed by the history and architecture of the building. I stayed the winter so I wasn't able to enjoy the restaurant/bar on the roof however I have been told by many friends it is a "must".
The location of this apartment is wonderful and it was more spacious than we thought it might be. Relaxed feel with lovely cafes, tavernas, town centre and swimming spots in very close proximity. We were able to pop out for evening and morning swims!
The best thing about this property is the hosts. Really helpful and accommodating and they arranged for us to have a late check out which allowed us to do so much more in Corfu Town.
I strongly recommend Bella Venezia for many reasons such as that the room was renovated and very clean, the location was very good, in the city center, the breakfast included almost everything etc. However, the best feature of the hotel is its personel as their service was exemplary. I have been in many hotels (5 stars etc.) but didn't get such friendly, polite and professional service as in Bella Venezia.
You get your own small house and small garden, very well shaded by vegetation with a terrace where you will enjoy both your meals and drinks. The interior is very nice with relaxing, discrete colors and good taste decorations. The beaches on the south-west were the best for little children: sand, shallow and very clean (apox 1 km south of the location, the closest one had some seaweed).
Dora the hostess was there to meet us and was very welcoming providing recommendations for places to eat etc. The facilities were on the same level as a 5 star hotel. The property was beautifully presented and exceptionally clean. Dora’s eye for detail was evident in the furnishings she had picked to show the detail and the history of the apartment at it’s best.
Very nice staff there. Everyone is so kind, we got many information about the best places, spots, restaurants, etc.
Nice coffee, the rooms and the pool is clean, everything is regularly cleaned.
The apartman is in Gouvia, 10 minutes from Corfu town with car. Gouvia has a lovely street with many grillhouses and local shops.
I highly recommend this place.
Perfect for us we were travelling to Albania the next day.Was really close to the port with easy reach of Corfu towns best restaurants and bars.
They also have a safe place for us to leave our luggage after checking out, and the couple who run it were really helpful with lots or useful tips and information
The location was really good, you can walk from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the city centre; there are also buses along the road. The room was big and enjoyed having a balcony with a sea view. Breakfast was quite good. Staff was very nice and helpful!
You have to understand how near this property is to the runway. The aircraft power up right outside your balcony. However the bedroom was triple glazed and we did sleep well. A few restaurants and bars nearby but not the best. Regular bus service into Corfu town.
I wanted a small, boutique hotel close enough to Corfu Town without actually being in the town, and this was a lovely property, perfect for a peaceful, quality stay. Best of all, the staff are EXCEPTIONAL, they made my stay here so much more special. Thank you!
Very nice hotel...the staff was incredibly helpful and the breakfast was excellent. It's location was very good for walking and the room was very quiet. We had a balcony with a sea view that allowed us to sit and relax when we had the opportunity.
George was the best host of our 3 weeks in Greece! Sweet little guesthouse in prime location with comfy beds and fantastic breakfast! Excellent communication and great suggestions for hiking, beaches and restaurants across the whole island!
The location was excellent for access to the Old Town, especially some of the best bars and restaurants in Corfu Town. The accommodation was very clean and exceptionally well appointed with everything you need to hand.
Location is close to Corfu Town, so best way to get there is the 2A bus or €10 for taxi.
Dinner at the restaurant was nice but expensive.
Service from staff was excellent and the room had an amazing sunset view.
Fantastic location, clean and open space, great value, convenient to all of Corfu Town. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a stay that isn’t a hotel.
