Stayed here to walk the Louisios Gorge. Room was fine, comfortable bed and a good shower, good view from the balcony. Good breakfast, more than enough to set you up for the day (the hostess kindly wrapped up some excess pies as a snack for my walk, far too much to eat for breakfast).

A long drive from Katakolo on the west coast of the Pelopponese brought us to the mountain village of Dimitsano..
The village is a maze of cobbled side streets and Stefanos, our host, was kind enough to meet us in the centre and escort us to a parking spot. From there a stiff walk through the backstreets took us to Proselinos guesthouse.
We were shown our room which was in keeping with the location… full of charm. Stone walls on 3 sides plus a feature fireplace which together with radiators are no doubt put to use in the winter. Natural wood panelled ceilings and floors added to the feeling of warmth. Lovely period furniture, tasteful decor, a desk, wardrobe and fairly comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but fine with a spa bath and hand held shower.
No air cond or fan and no tv although there is one in the lounge/ dining/ reception area.
Breakfast was excellent and plentiful… thank you!
Nice coffee shops ( we visited the R4 all day espresso bar with a roof garden a few times)
A visit to the historic water mill close by is well worth it.
Altogether an enjoyable 2 night stay.

Dimitsana is a typical beautiful mountain village with very narrow, steep cobblestone streets. Very picturesque! We loved the experience.
The roads leading to it are challenging and the village streets very narrow; not for a nervous driver. Would not recommend to persons with physical mobility issues.

Dimitsana is great for a weekend visit, because it's located close to Athens with easy access. There are various things you can do, besides tasting great food. Hicking, walking in the forests, rafting are some of the activities you can try.

I feel like one doesn’t have a full picture of Greece without a visit to a hill town like Dimitsana. Lovely, lively, intriguing. Drive respectfully or not at all. Visit the monastery (you have to open the gate yourself during visiting hours), walk the hills, visit the water power museum and simply enjoy authentic Greece.

We appreciated the helpfulness of our host.
We appreciated the helpfulness of our host. He directed us to a hike that we wanted to make and helped facilitate transportation so we could be dropped off at one end and hike back to the village. We enjoyed a traditional breakfast both of the mornings we stayed at the guesthouse. The room was comfortable and we loved sitting on the balcony in the morning to enjoy the view of the village.

We stayed for 2 nights, which could have been longer, but there was so much to see in Peloponnese. We had a day to hike the gorge and visit monasteries, which shouldn't be missed. (One can actually drive close to them, but the hike was beautiful.) Some good restaurants in town, too.

A somewhat alternative destination, a beautiful village with a good selection of small shops and restaurants/cafes. Lots of options to hike in the surrounding forest and Lousios gorge as well as other outdoor activities in the neighbouring villages.
The breakfasts were incredible, gourmet, prepared for each guest with a unique menu each day. They were extremely generous with 3 courses presented beautifully and served with a smile. The manager and the owners are lovely and very attentive. Finding the hotel was a bit of a challenge but a simple call would work. There is a lift inside but you have 3 steps to get inside and the luggage has to be carried a short distance from the car to the guesthouse. It’s a lovely place and we felt very welcomed. They take great pride in their guesthouse.
Delightful guesthouse with lovely views of Dimitsana Village. Bedroom was large and comfortable with a nice, little balcony to sit out on. Small kitchenette was useful for making drinks and snacks. Big bathroom. Few steps walk into heart of Village, but high enough above main road to be peaceful.
Owners were fantastic- so friendly and helpful. And their breakfast buffets were clearly prepared with a love for customer service. The best I've ever come across for fresh, home-made treats.
The Amanites Guesthouse is a great place to stay in Dimitsana. Hara and Aris and their staff were so wonderfully accommodating. They have done a fabulous job transforming their family home into a beautiful BnB. Everything is so tastefully appointed, yet personal and very sincere. And incredibly clean and light. They couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful with lots of personal attention. This was one of the nicest small hotels we’ve stayed in over many years of traveling.
I really loved the stay here. It is a very cute hotel with an extremely cozy atmosphere. The hostess was really nice and welcoming and gave this friendly grandmother vibe. Though off season she took the time to care and provide a really nice breakfast as well (including the home-made jams and eggs). I would definitely come here again when in the region.
We left the car at the outskirt of the village and Kristi picked us up to bring us to the location.
The day we left she drove us back to our car.
She is a absolutly friendly person and adviced the taxi driver to bting us to the entrance of the louisios gorge where we hiked back to Dimitsana. .
Takes you around 5 hourd and arounf 900 M altitude
Amazing guesthouse near Dimitsana and along Lousios river. The hosts were very friendly and informed us about anything we asked. Our room was also clean and the breakfast was contained from all the necessary ingredients. All of them were of high quality. The surrounding place and nature offered us a quiet and peaceful accommodation too!

Very nice hotel on a beautiful location in Dimitsana. The most quiet and peaceful place we stayed during our trip in Greece. Excellent beds in a great room. Breakfast also good. Owner and staff really helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
The location was well situated above a local Tavern with great local food. It was easy to find with easy street parking nearby. The room was comfortable, clean and cosy with a strong shower. Great base to explore Dimitsana.
Proselinos is a marvelous place in a wonderful, scenic mountain town. The couple running it are exceptional hosts in every way, including delicious breakfasts and spotless, renovated rooms. My favorite place in Greece!
Lovely owners offering a good breakfast. There is a small external terrace and a kitchen you can use. It's at the heart of Dimitsana. There is a parking not very far, but it's recommended not to have many stuff.
A modern hotel built in a traditional style with traditional decor. Lovely welcoming and helpful staff. Parking available. Within easy walking distance to the centre of the village. Stay here.
I would highly recommend this hotel !!! Our room was really cool and the view on the mountains was amazing. The location is just great and the host was really nice.
Charming, clean, comfortable and within a 5-min walk from Dimitsana’s central square. The owner and her mother-in-law were extremely nice, friendly and hospitable
