Ermoupolis retains the neoclassical aristocratic air of another era. Walk in the streets , visit Apollo theatre , visit Ano Chora but use the free bus line. The view from up there is incredible. Walking down is not that difficult. A visit of the St. Nicolas church is a must. The marble temple is a work of stunning work. The streets behind the main sea road are full of restaurants offering a wide choice from budget souvlaki to gourmet food. We had amazing food at Seminario restaurant .

The hotel was wonderful located close to restaurants and shopping. The room was a wonderful size for my husband and I. The staff was very professional and responded to our questions and needs in a timely manner. While there was not an elevator, the staff helped us bring our luggage up the stairs when we arrived and down the stairs when we left. There was a place to store our luggage as we departed after checkout time and wanted to walk around before we left. It was safely stored until we returned to depart from Syros

We loved Ermoupoli.
We loved Ermoupoli. The city is so beatiful, clean and organized and has plenty of good bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. All prices are reasonable and people are very nice.
Do not miss to go up to Ano Syros, a medieval village up in the mountains (during summer a free bus line can take you from the harbour of Ermoupoli to the place and you can go back to town walking)

Loved the waterfront t and the square. Had some lovely food.
Loved the waterfront t and the square. Had some lovely food. Enjoyed taking the bus to Kini and going the long way so we were able to sightsee. Found the steps hard work. Spent a morning trying to find a way down without too many steps. If I went again I’d book on the sea level.

Amazing!!! Our stay at Verada Syros House will be unforgettable! We felt like in a luxury five-star hotel - super clean, fantastic view and a wonderful garden.
Vasiliki and Alexandra took great care of us in every way. They prepared not only a rich and delicious breakfast but also served us handmade, very tasteful sweets as well as traditional food.
We give Vasiliki, Alexandra and Dimitri as well as their mansion a ten with a star. I wish there was a higher rating, these lovely hosts deserve the best.
My ferry to Santorini was canceled due to weather...about 915am, I walked into Diogenis...the woman at the front desk was extremely helpful...being off season, she showed me 3 rooms I could choose from...the best option had a view of the Harbour. She said that I was welcome to have breakfast...I got my room by 930, unwound till 1000, ate breakfast and relaxed the rest of the day.
Very enjoyable.
The room was great, fantastic shower!
Breakfast was good, coffee great.
Very clean hotel.
The owner was very kind and let us check into our rooms early which was greatly appreciated! It's an easy to find place and within a stones throw of many of the restaurants in the city, plus, it wasn't too far of a walk from the port which we appreciated as well. On the other side of the hotel there is one of the "concrete beaches" of the city, so that you can go for a swim! Rooms were a good size. For 2 nights it was a great fit for us.
The hotel was lovely, exceedingly well run and maintained. The grounds were beautiful, as was the view of the sea. Most of all, the staff was friendly, efficient and hard-working, from the wonderful receptionists (a special thanks to Voina) to the ladies who cleaned the room so promptly and carefully. As someone who travels often and widely, this was the most satisfying hotel experience I have had in a very long time.
Excellent location, 8 mins walking from the bus stop and the port, in the centre of Ermoupoli, near restaurants, cafe, bars and 15 mins walking from Vaporia area.
Excellent view from the roof top both to the port and to Anw Syros.
Very clean room, with fridge, A/C, a cute table outside the room with the port view and a good hair dryer. There is also a lift for the luggage. Very friendly staff. Value for money!
Everything about our stay at Xenon Apollonos went above and beyond our expectations. Mary was a wonderful host and made a delicious breakfast spread for us each morning, and had terrific restaurant recommendations. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and charming, and we could have spent a full day just on the balcony. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Syros!
We had a wonderful stay to 5 Hermoupolis Concept sites. The host was very polite, friendly and ready to answer to any of our questions. The room was very clean and convenient, while the location of the hotel was excellent. I would totally recommend it for everyone who wants to be very close to the city life, and stay in a nice and convenient room.
Porto was a great base for exploring Syros. Four minutes walk from the ferry port, on the level, and spot on for exploring Ermoupoli. The bus station for trips around the island is 10 minutes level walk. The apartment is central but quiet, with views to the harbour and the main sights of the town. Our hosts were very positive and helpful.
The breakfasts were wonderful! Made to order each day and the food they used were farm to table. The hotel’s location was great, on a hill so the view was beautiful, but close enough to town to walk. Our room was very spacious and we had our own private patio. The family that owns this hotel were so nice and helpful!
We really loved the location of the hotel. It is within walking distance of most things. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were updated and comfortable. George, the hotel owner, was awesome. He was very helpful and I enjoyed just sitting down and talking with him and getting to know him better.
The location was fantastic. We were able to walk from the ferry, and the hotel is just steps from restaurants and shopping. The staff is extremely welcoming, top notch hospitality. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is exceptional, delicious food cooked to order.
The location could not have been better - we had the best views of beautiful Ermoupolis on one side and just a few steps to the most amazing "beach' on the other! It was close to everything! The room was charming, as were the hosts - they provided everything needed!
THE HOTEL DIOGENIS WAS IN EXCELLENT SPOT IN ERMOUPOLIS , JUST 400 METERS FROM THE CENTER
THE STUFF VERY WARM AND READY TO ANSWER TO ANY QUESTION AND GIVE THE INFORMATION WHERE TO GO , WHAT TO SEE , WHERE TO SWIM
THE BREAKFAST EXCEPTIONAL
The spectacular sunrise and morning sun, access to crystal clear sea & comfy sun beds to relax on, beautiful historic building, perfect location, very clean, very warm & friendly hotel staff
the support provided by the manager of the hotel.
He arranged a car rental for us to visit the island, even in a busy holiday period.
He recommended excellent restaurants.
