My stay at Afroditi Venus Beach Hotel & Spa was simply unforgettable. The private beach and wellness center were the highlights of my trip. The room was elegantly furnished and had a balcony where I could soak in the sea breeze. The spa treatments were rejuvenating, and the indoor pool and hot tub were a dream. From travelling around Santorini we found Kamari to be the best part of the island. It is clean, has lovely restaurants and shops and whilst the beach is pebbly there are free sun lounges with a beautiful view out to sea. We hired a car and it was easy and free to park it near by. We would also recommend the Atlantis museum and the open air cinema.

A very neat promenade with a number of nicely decorated restaurants. However, when you go deeper inland, it is not arranged like that. The beach is better towards the big rock, because it has a better access to the sea.

The location is ok-ish as you have the beach (Kamari) nearby and some hikes that start a few hundreds of meters away from the property (e.g. Ancient Thira). There’s also a bus that can get you to Fira. There are also plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and even a great coffee shop and bakery at walking distance from the property. You’ll find street parking nearby and can perform self check in and check out which is convenient.
We didn’t like the facilities that much and the cleanliness. We found ants around the bed and didn’t get the room cleaned even when we asked for it. We left the “clean room sign” on the door and all we got were new towels.

It really is a good location.
It really is a good location. You do NOT want to be in Thira - just too busy.
Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from along the seafront.
Small compact little town with a bus service that seems to get well used. Bus stop is just up the road from the Hotel. Service is regular to other parts of the island. Do not drive unless you are competent and confident. They are nutters. Roads are not really adequate for a scooter - that's why we chose a quad bike. You need to be early or late into Thira because when the cruise ships disgorge their human cargo you get swept along with the tide - not good. It can get really hot during the day so suncream and hat and water a MUST.

Santorini is a beautiful island, we all know that.
Santorini is a beautiful island, we all know that. Oia and Fira are picture perfect cities. But to really enjoy holidays, go to Kamari. You don't have to walk far to go to the beach. And the beach is amazing. It's amazing vibe there, with great bars and restaurants. And you have buses all day long to go to Fira / Oia.
My flight was late and I arrived Santorini around 1:00am in the morning instead 10:00pm. Matt was so helpful and he even came to airport (at 1:00am! ) to guide me to property as my GPS was not working for my rented car. He ensured I'm settle comfortably after my terrible delayed flight travel. Matt and his wife was very helpful through out our stay.
The location of the property is very close to the airport and beautiful Kamari beach. Definitely I'll recommend my friends for the stay with Alafouzos studio.
Santellini Hotel is a wonderful place, a tiny jewel box next to the sea. The owner, Martha, is a wonderful host, very kind and thoughtful. The breakfast is excellent, and the jams (all made by Martha) are unforgettable. The rooms are very clean, very spacious, our room also had a big terrace. Santellini is a 3 star hotel, but the quality of the services and the kindness of the staff is 5 star quality.
We had a wonderful holiday here. If we ever go back to Santorini, we would deffinitely stay here again.
- Perfect location next to the beach and Cretan Bakery where you will find absolutely amazing pastries, cakes and sweats. 2 mins walk to bus stop which you can go to Fira and other parts of Santorini.
- Friendly staff, especially one gentleman from reception, very kind and helpful all the time.
- Delicious breakfast.
- Nice food and coctails in Kordas restaurant, can honestly recommend, affordable prices.
- Room was cleaned every day.
- Large pool.
- Easy to get from Airport to Hotel and return.
Probably one of the best places in the island, if you want to spend your days at the beach.
This was our first trip to Santorini, so we didn’t really know what location to choose. We wanted a reasonably priced apartment near the beaches and restaurants.
Leonidas was a great choice. Located in a quiet street parallel to the coast, offers you great access to shops, bars, restaurants, car rentals.
Superb cleanliness, nice garden view.
Highly recommended, and would definitively come again!
This is the best hotel in Santorini away from the busy Oia and Fira but close enough to reach in few minutes. Kamari beach is only 30 min walk !. THE hotel is exceptional . ALL the staff AT the hotel are very attentive but especially the hotel General Manager is there giving his best and a personal service and making this hotel the best in Santorini ...I have stayed in Fira and Oia too but if I have to return it will definitely be Meditteranean white.
Such an impressive typical santorinian accomodation, with brilliant service at it’s finest! The owner of the hotel has helped us with everything, borrow/arrange futher details we were demanding. Hotel is located near the centre of city so you may discover whole Kamari without any overratings. Hotel room was every day clean and full-prepared for our use. We are very thankful, and won’t hesitate to come back in the nearest future! Thank you!
The hospitality and kindness of Savvas and his team. They were very attentive to our needs and always willing to do anything to make our stay smooth and memorable. The room and breakfast was great and the location is so close to Kamari boardwalk…..My family and I enjoyed our stay at Kalya Suites and would highly recommend it for a family stay. We will surely be back if we are in Santorini again. Thanks Savvas 😊
The location to Kamari beach and local hot spots was amazing! The owner was super friendly and helpful and helped with arranging transfers and offered support wherever needed. He even made sure to meet us at the hotel late at night (10pm) to help us check in with plane delays. The pricing was perfect and we thoroughly loved our stay, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit santorini.
I visited with my partner. Kamari itself is lovely and quiet, the views around are great. I preferred it to all the villages we visited on Santorini. We got a standard apartment, which had a balcony and pool view. The bathroom was spacious and clean and we got free toiletries. The beds were comfy and the AC was good. The wifi was fast and fine. It’s functional and I would love to stay again.
the place is amazing, super cozy and at a great spot in kamari near everything you need and has a nice view of the beach with an amazing hiking spot nearby. Cleaned every two days and everything taken care of, snd the woman running this is the most wonderful woman i’ve met while traveling. 100% reccomend this place if you’re staying in santorini
everything about this property was wonderful. The location is fantastic, right on the beach! The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. A happy spot to stay and enjoy Santorini. My daughter and I were sad to leave and can not wait to come back for another visit and stay again!
George is a great host. We are vegetarian so his mom baked a eggless cake that we excellent. George stocked the refrigerator with fruits and had many things for us.
If we ever go back to Santorini we would definitely stay at the same place. Thank you George for everything.
My second stay at Kastelli and it's still my favourite hotel. I was upgraded again which was amazing! I have stayed in many Santorini hotels and Kastelli is my favourite by miles. It is extremely comfortable, in the best location in Kamari and love everything about it
great location, the staff was marvelous and very helpful, the breakfast was great, a walking distance to everything. I love the pool and the service . I will recomend it to anyone who asks about a place to stay in Santorini
Breakfast was OK, nothing special about it. The superior room is very nice! Highly recommend it! Also, they have three parking lots. If I will come back to Santorini, I will come back to Alexandra Hotel.
If you want to have a real vacation in Santorini, this is the perfect place to stay. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood , very clean and comfortable room, and sofia is very friendly and welcoming.
Everything. The property manager Georgia was so nice that you will not find anybody nicer in entire Santorini. Breakfast was awesome. Location was superb for our family. Close to restaurants.
Beautiful hotel close to Kamari beach. Loved the pool area, had a really relaxing stay here. Staff were so helpful. Would recommend for stay in Santorini away from the crowds of Fira & Oia.
Great location, very close to the beach, supermarket and restaurants. In my opinion, Kamari beach is the best in Santorini. New towels provided every day.
