We thought this hotel extremely good value for money. All the rooms have balconies overlooking the sea and we loved the view and proximity to the ocean. The room was clean and had everything we wanted but felt rather basic - a little as if we were in student accomodation, as indeed did the decor of much of the hotel. Food - both breakfast and dinner were reasonably good (although another group had nicer food!) - and some excellent reasonably priced wine was offered (we were not on an all inclusive deal which some other guests were). Good bed, great shower. The hotel is in a quieter part of town which means it's a longer walk to any other bars/restaurants. Good English spoken by the staff. The hot springs nearby are fab - (NB the write up for the Hotel implies they are on site whereas they are a drive away)

The location was good - set back a couple of roads from the beachfront meant it was peaceful, yet within easy walking distance from the front. Our host was friendly and helpful, and check in was quick and simple.

I think Kamena Vourla is fine for a long weekend or three days. You can have a traditional family holiday relaxing by the pool, walking around, and eating together, if you like. If you want to ride a bike or drive to nearby landmarks, that is possible, too. If you are taking the waters, your doctor may suggest longer. 3 days twice a day is a good start.

Unfortunately we did not like Kamena Vourla.
Unfortunately we did not like Kamena Vourla. It has a feeling of a holiday town from the 70's. Run down and unkempt.
Beach needs a clean up.
Lots of Restaurants and Cafes and it is very easy to get around on foot.
Good access to main Freeway to Athens/Northern Greece, so could be a stop over point for one night.

We were looking for a short time relaxation and we...
We were looking for a short time relaxation and we experienced a lovely romance! The place is full of hotels, bars, restaurants, markets. A wide coast available in front. We were relaxing at the balcony hours enjoying plenty of sea-view. A variety of gastronomy goods was available everyday for lunch time. We mostly enjoyed sweets, coffee, cakes of the hotel kitchen. Sooner or later we will be for sure.
Very cozy, comfy, and cute family-owned small hotel with a nice yard, charming and welcoming environment, nice friendly hosts, very convenient location for travelers - the town of Kamena Vourla is close to the freeway from Athens to Thessaloniki, but far enough away from traffic noise. It is a resort town with a nice beach. The hotel is located on a quiet street with a mountain view and gardens, and it is close to the beach. The studio was very nice and equipped with everything needed.
I will never set foot in that hotel again, but in the interest of fairness, I should list a few of its advantages:
(a) proximity to Athens - it's only a two hour drive out; (b) spa facilities are spacious and decent; not as fancy as on the website, and some were out of order, but generally good; spa staff was also very good (c) the buffet food was ok - inferior to the sort of food you would get at a good restaurant, but that's inevitable in a place that has to offer so many options.
The room was spotless in terms of cleanliness. It had everything you need for a one-night stop after a long journey. The bed was comfy, and the pillows were just what my sore neck needed. The hotel is close to the shops and Mr Harrys was very polite, pleasant and professional. I've had many unpleasant experiences with hotels that just couldn't provide the simplest things, like a clean pillowcase but Alma hotel wasn't one of them thankfully!
This is a 3 star hotel, so my expectations were not high, the hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly. They helped get our bags out of the car and carried them up the stairs to our room for us. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. It is easy to walk to all the restaurants. The beach is right across the street. We had a great view from our balcony.
The hotel is located close to everything you may need; food, coffee, sweets, supermarket, and the beach. Extremely polite and helpful staff as well!
The room was comfy and bright (it was on the side, looking towards the beach), beds were okay, the bathroom was quite large.
The breakfast provided was everything I would expect from a 3* hotel.
We will surely choose this hotel again!
The owner is extremely warm and friendly, the hotel is above and beyond what one would expect for the price. Beautiful view from my room. There are lots of good budget hotels in Greece, but if you have a choice in Kamena Vourla and you aren't sure, I'd suggest you choose Nana Hotel; it's just going to be a really nice stay and you'll remember the hospitality.
Host and his family were all warm and welcoming. They even washed a small load of laundry for us ! The hotel in in a quiet corner of the town - away from the busy, main street. We could use a kitchen right across the hall to heat water or cook.
Very reasonable rate -- well worth the price :)
The hotel is very well located, just across the sea so we had a beautiful the view from the room. Beds were big and confortable, and the room very clean. Breakfast was ok. The lady at the reception desk in the morning was nice. We park the car in front of the hotel, in the street and was ok.
This is a lovely Family run boutique hotel. Quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to beaches. Loads of restaurants close by of all types of cuisine. I stayed in a simple room but saw the kitchenette room and it is very nice. Highly recommend. Perfect for a family vacation.
Efthimios, the owner of the hotel, and his father made us feel very welcomed. We stayed one night on our way to Metheora and one night on our way back from the north to Athens. The hotel is very nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
I visited this hotel a lot of years ago.
It has remained as good as it was all the previous years.
The facilities are clean and tidy, the breakfast is very rich and the front swimming pool is very big and beautiful.
I hope to visit the hotel again soon!!
The accommodation is in nice and quiet place, but still close to the centre of Kamena Vourla. We stayed for the WRC rally. The staff and host are very friendly and very helpful. I would definitely return again to this place.
Very hospitable owners, always happy to help us out and recommend places to visit around Kamena Vourla. Very affordable prices and only a few minutes walk from the city centre and the port. Highly recommend staying there.
The size of the room was okay, not huge but adequate. The hotel was relatively clean and it was quiet, I will give it that but that’s where the good things about this place stop. Overall, not a great stay.
The hotel is very good and recently renovated.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is close to the Main Street (city center)and to the beaches.
Perfect stay! Thank you
Great location. First line to the ocean.
The room was pretty nice. Very clean.
No noise from the street. Safe neighborhood.
Parked in front of the hotel.
