September visit- Peaceful location, nice clean beaches, amazing swimming pool, awesome beach chairs, good breakfast, great firm bed and daily housekeeping, very clean, daily top up of fresh water and coffee capsules, plenty of towels (also beach towels included), excellent wifi, recommend to visit as a couple, not very family friendly (no playground, no kids amenities in room etc)
Just 150 metres from Koukounaries Beach, Aelia Studios offer self-catering accommodation with views over the Aegean Sea and Strofilia Lake. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas.

Hotel is located 7-10 minutes walking to Koukounaries beach, in a very quiet location. There are trees and greenery all around. The whole property is very green, very well taken care of. Our apartment had a lot of cute details. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Maria is a great host! She provided us information about the island and was very nice and kind.

Nice beach, but a bit overcrowded (in the number of persons / number of sunbeds). Although, in the see you don't feel the crowd.
Koukounaries is a bit far away from Skiathos Town (45 minutes to 1 hour the bus drive). small market shops in koukounaries are very expensive (at least 2 times more than a usual supermarket, while the selection of products is limited).

Koukounaries is a remote village surrounded by forest, 15-30 minutes walk to very beautiful beaches. I missed the seaviews and the nightlife. None of the properties in this area has seaview, because there is a lake and a forest that separates the main road from the beach. I would recommend to rent a car or something else to go to the beaches around. When it is very hot, it is not comfortable to walk 30 minutes under the sun. Bear in mind that the area is full of rats, especially if the property is in the wood. My friends ( 6 families) were staying at Driades and I was terrified to see rats in the garden among children playing. Not to mention at night! ( of course we have photos and videos)
I have eaten at Under the pine, which is nice and at Big Bad Wolf, where we have paid 12 euros for the bread! But the seabass and the lamb chops were perfect.
The beaches nearby are quite beautiful. My favorite was Mandraki Elias. Agia Eleni is a nice beach, too. Koukounaries is very crowded, but it is ok to go for a day or two.

Koukounaries is a fairly long road with relatively few properties, it's basically a big pine forest surrounded by a dozen beautiful beaches... there's at least two brilliant bars, more restaurants.
Great bus service, 20 minutes to town.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. No reflection of the photos on Booking.com and a complete scam. Our room had been double booked and we were told our only option was to sleep in a room allocated to staff with a broken shower, no aircon and ripped /dirty curtains.
Promised a 60% refund only to be told upon our return to the UK that this wouldn't happen.
Arranged with the hotel to be collected by the hotel from the airport to only wait 2 hours before being told make your own way.
Completely missold based on the profile and images on Booking

It is a small resort at the far end of the island with a few Taverna’s and a gorgeous beach
It has a water taxi from the beach to Skiathos town and buses every 10 mins to get around the island.
The tavernas are varied and a couple of bar’s one of which is mostly English and sells cocktails and English breakfasts, which personally I want to avoid when in the beautiful Greek islands.
Greek food and hospitality is amazing and I like to appreciate local dishes, Souv Lake was a lovely gyros cafe bar, on the way to the beach.
Would definitely recommend the area and would return, although for night life you are best to get the bus into town.
Our stay at Driades was wonderful. Maria is a great host and she made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Her artwork gives the place a warm feeling and the staff keeps everything clean, daily. The villa is located in a peaceful area, with easy access to the beach and to the best restaurants and supermarkets in Koukounaries. The rooms from our maisonette were spacious, private and well furnished. And the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
Situated in a peaceful pine forest, 10 minute walk away from the main road. The rooms are a bit outdated, but provide everything you need. There is Georges bar at the premises with George being an awesome host. We would cheer for Greece and Slovenia basketball teams on Eurobasket 2022 when the games were on, otherwise spent evenings over a few beers with George and other guest. Guests have an option of BBQ also. A really pleasant place to stay. Thanks for great holidays to all the staff. Best regards from Slovenia.
Gorgeous, clean, comfortable studio apartment with in lovely grounds. Always a lovely welcome from Rula and Dimitri! Great bar behind serving full range of drinks including cocktails.
The location is brilliant too- 8 beaches within walking distance- the nearest 5 minutes walk away and some through beautiful forest tracks. Good variety of restaurants nearby and the bus into Skiathos runs every 10 minutes to 1 am. 3 euros per journey. There is also a water taxi from Koukanaries beach 6 euros. Couldn’t ask for more.
Personally, me and my other half really enjoyed being here. The location is absolutely great, the hotel is also brilliant and George and his bar is just the best. He is so friendly and helpful! Cheapest bar in kouks easy and the best atmosphere! Overall we loved our stay and would definitely recommend anyone to come here's without a doubt! If you come skiathos then this IS THE PLSCE TO BE! thank you George and yotis for the stay! Absolutely loved it!
The location of this accomodation is its top advantage. Close to Koukounaries Beach and to some very good restaurants in the area. There were two supermarkets close. The room was cleaned every day and the towels changed every 2-3 days which was ok. The lady that does the cleaning also is at the reception and is very very nice even though she doesn't speak English very well, but she could understand some things. The air conditioning worked very well.
The hotel is perfectly located with access to 4 beautiful sandy beaches. You don't have to worry about finding space on the beach no matter how late you go.
The whole area is very green and gives you the opportunity to properly relax.
The Grace rooms are spacious, well arranged and with beautiful terraces overlooking the sea.
All beach bars are very nice with large sunbeds and friendly staff.
The absolute best part of this hotel is its location - super close to the best beach in Skiathos in my opinion and even closer to a supermarket and two very tasty restaurants! And to top it off, the bus station is right outside of the hotel. The staff is super friendly and housekeepers clean the room everyday! Would recommend this hotel if you look something with a great location!
This is a high quality resort and we really enjoyed our stay. Excellent breakfast. Multiple good restaurants on site although prices a little high. Few independent restaurants nearby the complex so there aren't many local options for eating unless you have transport. There is a local bus that runs every 20-30minutes to Skiathos town 30 mins away. Lovely beaches and helpful staff.
The studios are small but lovely, with a view of the lake and the sea, and really close to the beach and the main restaurants in Koukounaries. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and the owner gave us perfectly targeted recommendations for our holiday. I know he tries to improve the place constantly so I am certain that next year the place will be even better.
The host was extremely nice and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every two days and we got new towels every two days too. It was very quiet and peaceful but at the same time only 10 minute walk from Koukounaries beach and 20-30 minute easy walk through pine forest to some of the more secluded beaches like Madraki and Elia beach.
The location was great and the host, Mr. Kostas, a wonderful and kind person. Free parking just outside the place, approximately 10 minutes walking from the fantastic beach Koukounaries! Upon request, we had also been provided a baby bed. The garden was a great place to spend the evenings at.
The hotel has a great location close to Koukounaries and other beaches. Despite being close to the main road, it was very calm. The hotel rooms are in different small buildings which are spread across an amazing and well kept garden. Staff was always very friendly and helpful.
The apartment was even nicer than in the pictures, it had a very cozy feeling. 5 minutes walk to Koukounaries beach. The host was very helpful, we asked before arriving if there is a child seat in the apartment, it was not, but they ordered one.
The location is excellent. So close to Koukounaries & Agia Eleni beaches. I would like to include breakfast. The tavern inside Strophilia Apartments is incredible.
