such a beautiful place! we stayed as a family with a toddler and baby in Lemonia, the ground flour villa with private jacuzzi, garden, lemon tree, 3 spacious chambers, 2 bathrooms and a lovely kitchen with dishwasher. How much we enjoyed the private outside area, such a relaxing space! The environment is a pure gift; walk 5 steps outside and you’ll meet a beautiful sea, cosy restaurants and bars, but all not crowdy, and awing (my senses could not stop enjoying the cooling breeze, the clear water, the calming waves and the warm sand… such a gift! last but not least; the Cretan people; before I knew it; I was hugging locals, and how lovely the were for my kids, incredible! The South-east Cretans are golden. more golden than any Chrissy Island beach. Special kudos to Romeo, managing Lemonia residents, Greek though in love with Italy and Russia, he showed us the warmest heart, was ready any minute to support, help or just have a laugh.. Cleanliness and elegance.

The location is good - not in the touristy part of the island. There are a few hotels around, but the nearby town feels very authentic. There are very nice, simple, restaurants there. Walking and the town and eating with the locals just feels real here. You don't feel like a tourist. The way down to the beach is very beautiful. We enjoyed spending the 5 minutes to get to and from the beach. But be warned - it's some pretty steep and winding stairs, so not good for baby strollers or people with disabilities. Otherwise it is not hard, and a very picturesque walk. The beach is very natural and minimalistic, but we liked it very much because of that. No sunbeds, no bars. Just go down there, sit on the warm sand, swim in the beautiful sea, climb on the rocks - enjoy the nature. We visited early in the season, so there were very few people too. Most of the time we had the whole beach to ourselves! Everyone in the staff is very friendly. We stayed only a few nights but can remember all those friendly faces. It feels like you are a real guest there, not just another client to be served. Even the construction workers seemed nice (there was a bit of renovation happening). The owners are personally there, involved in the business. Had a chance to chat with the a little too. Interesting people. Good, real, down-to-earth business. We liked it. Breakfast and dinner are good. The selection is not overwhelming (the kitchen area is not very big), which I see as a big positive, but some people maybe might think it is too little. There are enough different dishes to keep it interesting and at the same time, if you plan it right, you can try almost every dish for each meal. And everything was good, without exception. Oh and the views from the room - the mountains or the sea, really can't go wrong either way, it's beautiful wherever you look. So overall, very positive experience. Recommend, would stay again.

Simply perfect! I spent here 2 weeks. I booked the apartment with dining-living room and separate bedroom and it was the best choice ever. A big apartment with all the things you need. The kitchen is well equipped, with a brand new big fridge-freezer. All the necessary utensils: electric kettle, toast grill, filter coffee machine, small oven and hubs, all the pots and pans you might need. Clean and excellent service, towels and bedsheets changed regularly. The location is amazing, 5 mins from Ferma and from Agia Fotia. The road is with asfalt and there is a private parking place for your car. Thanks a lot to Manos, the owner, who really cares about his guests.

Lovely outside area looking over the view

Very good beaches in that area. The pool is big, and even though not very clear, it doesn’t smell with chlorine, which is better than clearness of the water. For example down in the other hotel below on the hill, there is a pool which smells like sh*t and bad for your eyes, but with clear water. There was not many neighbors (around 5 houses occupied max, I think 20-30%), so that was also a plus. Not sure how it’s there when there are many people near the pool. The villa has 3 levels, but there is no reason for the third floor. You’d better lay next to the pool. There are only sun beds. I thought to buy and put a grill/barbecue there, but did not find any smaller and cheaper one. The kitchen and the hall are on the second floor, strange.
